I really doubt it. We're overloading the server(s) the bettledome is on, so it doesn't matter what we're fighting -- we're all still in the dome. You just have to wait... wars are always like this. Once the newbie battlers max out (which really doesn't take that long), the lag goes away and the rest of us can fight normally.

*Nods in agreement* It's strange, though, because I don't recall this much lag in the BFM war...but maybe Neopets wasn't as packed that time...or maybe there was lag and I just didn't notice. *Shrug*

There was lag, but I don't think there was as much. I remember being able to fight without getting lots of errors like I did today. There may not have been as many fighters back then, and there was only one really easy opponent (spyders at difficulty 12) instead of three (the next wave after the spyders was difficulty 30, and also limited in number). In addition, good weapons were more expensive back then... no 7-9 iconers for 30k or buyable 9-iconers. Newbie battlers couldn't get quite as many wins.
It's weird that we have three really easy opponents. I wish there weren't so many... it's making the lag last longer than it would have if there were opponents of difficulties 12, 35 and 50 or whatever.

My fighting pet is stuck in a fight, and no matter how many times I go to the status page, it wont withdraw it, so I am using my noin-fighting pets to fight until py pet is unstucked. XD

More enemies mean more lag? That's logic I don't quite understand. I figured that if there are enemies in general, there's lag. *Shrug* I don't get why they had three enemies with minimal differences in difficulty anyway. But yes, there definitely was not as much lag in the BFM war, as I remember pounding LOADS of spiders. These tombstones, though...man are they lucky...
You'd think by now that they'd have the lag cleared up, though. Well, maybe not. Maybe in a couple of days. How long did it take them to clear up the whole vines lag? Like, 3 days, yeah? *counts*

More enemies doesn't mean more lag. More easy enemies means more lag. Instead of being able to fight, say, 100 of an easy opponent before maxing out, weak battlers can fight each stone type 100 times or more, giving them 300 or more wins. Every single person battling right now can kill at least three times more enemies than they would have been able to if there was just one easy opponent released (as there was in the Battle for Meridell, where wave one was just spyders). Hence the long-lasting lag.
