As he was not sighted at 6.00, then he had to of gone missing before 6.00. (To my logic, anyway). Smile
yet... what if he was sighted at 6, and the one saw him at that time is the one who pushed him?
anyway it won't be funny if later on after tnt release the answer, they came up with "new story" to fill the holes... >_<
I had originally thought 6.00 but logically, if you have an argument with someone and you wanted to push them overboard, you would do it straight away and not an hour later..
or you'll wait for the "perfect" moment...

Does TNT expect everyone to know what certain areas of the ship are called (aft deck..), or are they explained through out the comic? I noticed most areas are said, but only a few are actually shown. Hopefully that wasn't confusing.

Unless he wanted to either lure him into a false sense of security. Or it took an hour for him (or her, I guess) to get mad enough to want to push him over. Or maybe there were other people around and he couldn't get Hoban alone. *shrugs*

I am not sure if I am correct or not, so I am not going to argue right or wrong.
But we can only work with the clues given. As we have no way of knowing if Hoban was seen at 6.00 you would assume he wasn't.
I am just thinking that 6.00 must be the end of the storm and the time Orrin was let out of the Storeroom as it is the last hour in the timeline.

I chose Kentari because he's the least obvious of the four. It's usually the one who you least expect to have done it in these mysteries

I think it was anshu because he had the most similarities, but they were inconsistent. Since he was the last to be interviewed he may have very well listened in on us interviewing the others and corraborated his own story, full of holes, from what the others said.

I don't see why everyone keeps putting G19 as the place where he fell... how can the navigator record where the ship was AFTER he had fallen off?
I'm guessing Linae, because she said she was with him twice and everyone else's story made it sound like she was with him once... when she called him bad luck, second time pushing him off.

Well here is my guess, after reading everything and going over and over the comics my reckoning is this. starboard as for some bizzar reason I'm not quite sure why but it called to me like some gorgeous mermaid like siren. I'm not a sailor but I'm sure in every picture he is standing on the righthand side of the boat. Although I'm not sure what sides, what...

I just random guessed it. So i wonder if this means this plot is over for the most part..... mini plot INDEED! sheesh...
my guess of what will happen now: Enough people will guess right or put in there guesses TNT will then say oh you wehre right have a neopoint for your mini effort. Then the ship will set sail yet again and land on a new island (where they came from) and that island will open. Only there will be nothing there besides the ship! A few years from now more things will open on said 'island' but we will all have lost intrest by then.

...Frankly, I do not care. This was a stupid plot with what looks to be a stupid conclusion, and unless we're actually getting a new land out of it, I honestly do not see the point behind it.

Okay, thinking it over and over again despite what I think is insufficient evidence:
Who pushed Hoban? Anshu
Only one who actually had a fight with Hoban; Chef was suspicious but really had no given reason and Linae seemed to want to keep away from Hoban rather than get close enough to push.
When did he fall? 6:00
Two people saw him at 5:00. The Chef talked to him and found out that he was moody 'cause Linae was accusing him of being bad luck, which is corroborated by what Hoban told the Weapons master. Anshu said he spoke to the Chef at 5 and the Chef didn't know what was bugging Hoban. Due to the way info is coming to this, I cannot justify possibilities like the Chef finding out just after talking to Anshu.

This is most difficult for me. But the aftdeck is close to the helm which is where the navigator should usually be. It's also a raised portion and more likely to have a porthole. Linae also saw him here most of the time from what I can tell. Finally, it's the last named location I can find him cited (albeit that's Anshu's story; Chef's story doesn't actually name where Hoban told him about Linae)

Two reasons: first, it's the odd X out. Second, it's the SIXTH mark on the chart! IF the marks are spaced hourly and the CIRCLE is 1:00, the odd X would be 6:00

Question is, is Hoban REALLY still at whichever coord he fell over? WEEKS later? He's either used his navigational skills to best judge where to swim to hanging onto flotsam or he's loooonnng dead.

And why would Bonju say he doesn't know why Hoban was angry(at 5 according to Anshu), when Bonju himself said he spoke to hoban, who was calm at 5...
