They would have to have some way to seal over the entire top of the ship... I think that it's a little bit different... o_0

I bet that's where it goes next! and they come up with some clever random thing to explain why they can breathe underwater.
maybe they'll acquire scuba suits? or they're all secretly half-fish.
or the ship is stuck in a massive bubble. or something? hehe

...hmmm well maybe the wings can expand over the top to completly enclose the entire ship to create and air tight seal?! :o Crazy I know but were are under the laws of Neopets Logic here... o_O

However...I doubt it will go down there. I wish they would speed it up already though! :x

Also- The Nimmo was lock in the storeroom because the captain locked him in there. thats what i get from the comics. and he (the nimmo) didn't finish before eating because..well i guess he was really hungry...?

Don't worry, we are all entitled to that first double posting mistake.

To clarify, according to all the stories, Hoban was in a locked storeroom. I don't believe it is stated who locked it or why, but if anyone were to be the one to do it, I would think it would be the stockkeeper. Of inventory. Weapons are supplies. (?) So, Orrin, the Nimmo. Also, the Shoyru, Kentari, was the one that finished dinner first and noticed Chef coming out of the weapons room to replace a mysteriously vanished best knife of his. Hmmmmmmm. Everything still points to Orrin, the actual claimed witness of someone falling (or being pushed) overboard. I am dying for his story.

EDIT: And for the rest of ya scurvy ridden sea swine, I'm with Scott, there's a ship and people love to talk pirate, so ya better be lovin' that thar! :P Lest we makes ye walks the planks, see!? Hahahah. Sorry. Heh.

Hrmm...I re-read the comics and my insight so far...

-Orrin was locked in the storeroom because the Captain wanted him to finish up the inventory. If the Captain is the only one with the keys into the storeroom, then how exactly would you explain Hoban ending up in the LOCKED storeroom (keeping in mind that Orrin left before Hoban).

-In the Chef's rendition of what happened, he's washing the dishes and then the Captain yells "All hands on deck! We've not a moment to lose!" However, in Kentari's rendition, the Chef is coming out of the weapons room (which I'm guessing is different from the storeroom since the storeroom would be locked) HIDING the knife he took when the Captain yells, "All hands on deck! We've not a moment to lose!" So both their stories conflict in terms of where the Chef really was before they hit the storm.

-Also regarding the Chef, in his story, he's coming out of the weapons room with the knife out, exposed to all. In Kentari's story, the Chef is coming out of the weapons room with the knife HIDDEN, not exposed to all. Ah...conflicts.

-Someone mentioned that Orrin did it (i.e., push Hoban out) because he was the only witness. WELL, Orrin says he HEARD a scream and saw SOMEONE fall into the water. He probably didn't know who it was and not until they mentioned that Hoban was missing that they could've assumed it was Hoban that Orrin saw falling. And, judging by the fact that Orrin wears glasses, I don't think he has very good vision so it's a reasonable excuse...right...? Don't quite know where I'm trying to get with this.

-Lastly, this is probably unimportant, but I noticed in the Captain's tale, the folks are eating what seems to be rice and fish and Linae is slurping up spaghetti. HOWEVER, in both Kentari's and the Chef's stories, they all seem to be eating broccoli (or some other green food)...

Hmm...

lol A course change perhaps¿...or TNT slipped up :o ...uh oooh!

Anyway I just went to Culinary Concoctions to randomly try out some combos (see if I got lucky...though by now my guess is that isn't at all how u get the av..) and each time I click "Use these Items!" I was brought back to the same page. Didn't get the one where everything blew up in his face. Just me or is it happening to anyone else? :(
EDIT: Scratch that last thing.

I'm rooting for a magical bubble of some kind.

No, I really really am.

I refute your claims of *arr*! They aren't pirates, and I won't listen to anyone saying they are 0:) I'm leaning more towards "travelling merchants with valuable cargo" hey, maybe that's why Hoban's missing, perhaps he stole something?

EDIT: I had a dream about the chef avvie, there was some kind of a disaster on the ship and the cooking pot blew up, if you clicked on a certain place on the mess you got the avvie. I am NOT happy about dreaming about this plot by the way *grumbles*

Agreed! They just don't act like pirates. Hoban was named after Wash from Firefly, so maybe the whole ship is based a little bit on the crew of Serenity as a whole. They were smugglers, but not pirates. Else why would the captain have been so reluctant to land on Krawk Island, which is a haven for pirates?

I've been having a lot of Neopet dreams lately...and I never dream about Neopets. I keep wanting to come tell you guys about them, but I'm too shy.

well hooray for me for opening the flood gates of insanity and weirdness ;)

Although I'm thinking being named after Wash wouldn't make him definately not a pirate, after all he is played by Steve the Pirate. SO! maybe he's a pirate and he's hiding from the others in secret and we're only able to figure this out by our extensive knowledge of film and TV actors!!!!!

Yes, that was in no way serious. I'm getting really bored of the waiting and having nothing to do, at least with Meridell and the comic we had stuff to fight in the mean time. I want to fight stuff :(

God forbid I actually do some work *le gasp* actually I'm going away for another couple of days tomorrow although I don't expect there to be another update until the ship leaves and docks again somewhere else.

Heh, I had to IMDB that to make sure I was thinking of the same Steve the Pirate (I don't know why they're be another one, but had to check). That character was hilarious, my favorite in the movie.

But yeah, I don't see them being pirates, although I did forget they were wary about going to Krawk Island at first. Although maybe the captain's marked with a black spot, and someone on Krawk Island wants to kill them... oh wait, that's part of another movie, isn't it? :P

I just wish they'd give us something else to do besides just reading the comics :P

It would have to get under the water to get to the UNDERWATER fishing cavern... :P

Hmm, jumping in here. XD I agree they're not pirates. They don't act like pirates. Having a ship doesn't automatically make you a pirate. When I first saw the ship I was all "OMG yay pirates!" But nope.
I think the chef did it. Whatever it is. Yeah I'm clueless.
Figures the first neopets plot thing I actually get to be involved in is the most boring one. >.>;

Yeah but you gotta remember we apparently use row boats to get there ;)

There is still time to do the ENTIRE Altador plot, if you feel like it. There is PLENTY to do there!

And DracolordII: We do? That makes no sense whatsoever!
