IIRC, they did say there would be plot prizes. This was before/during the Cup and along the lines of "no, we haven't forgotten about the plot." I'll see I can find the specific mention and post the link.

Rakumel wrote:Well, if you're finished with the plot and go back to the Hall of Heroes, then ask to listen to the story of what happened again, a "choice of rewards" is still mentioned. But everything else that's happened since then seems to indicate there are no prizes coming out specifically for this mini-plot. Cup prizes have already been released, a new (mini?)plot's already starting, and there's been absolutely no more mention of the Altador mini-plot in the news. No closing, no status on prizes or score tabulation, nothing. I'm so confused, and honestly very annoyed.

If I had known that the plot prizes would take this long/wouldn't be available at all, I would have participated a little more in the Altador Cup. I didn't bother with it because I stunk at the game and never could get used to the controls no matter how much I practiced, and I thought that if I kept playing and losing, it would hurt whatever team I was on. So I honestly thought the best thing for me to do to "support" my team was not play. And I was okay with not getting any big cup prizes for not doing anything, because I'd completed the mini-plot and thought I'd have that to fall back on.

If it turns out that we don't get anything for completing the mini-plot, ever, for whatever reason...I might have to just quit for a while. Because when I start wanting to ram my fist through a wall over a stupid decision I made in a game, that's a good indication I'm taking the game way, waaaay too seriously.

....there, I actually feel better already.

(As a side note: Yes, I was around for the LDP, and I realize those prizes took over two months to come out after the plot was technically over. But 1) that plot was a much larger undertaking than this one was, and 2) there was a point when it actually did close and people were no longer able to start it.)

First of all (and this has been said numerous times) the plot is still open. We don't know why TNT is keeping it open so long, but that is the long and short of it.

When TNT closes the plot, we will get prizes.

Secondly, the plot and the cup were 2 different things, it was your choice to not play the game. Besides, what has the cup got to do with waiting for plot prizes?

Seriously, we all need to stop ranting over the prizes. We will get them. TNT put the plots on for us and we do them at our own risk. :)

Yes, it is annoying that TNT wont mention the plot, but they must have their reasons.

I for one, am putting the Altador Plot behind me and am concentrating on the new one.

Maybe, just maybe, TNT have something very special in mind for this new plot.

Yes, such as you forgetting about the previous plot and the prizes they owe you :P

Just to clarify a doubt but when the Golden Sun Chalice was released did'nt it have a higher rarity and price tag as well?, it seems to have been downgraded in that context about a month or 2 ago.

The only reason I can think of that the Altador plot isn't closed yet, is that it has something to do with the Ship. I know it probably hasn't, but I'm gonna hang on to that till I get my prizes :)

It is definitly possible, although I would think that we would see more links between the two if that were the case. So far, nothing about the Ship really makes me think about Altador.

But it does help to keep my mind off the plot prizes, which is fine by me!! :D

I like this plot :] 3.5 hours in and I'm searching for the theif constellation. Which is taking forever. If anyone is just itching to do more constellations....... ;)
I think I should finish the plot by the time I have to go to work. (TNT please don't close it today, that would be mean @_@)

I was looking through the Neoboards (out of sheer boredom) and I realized that the new plot board replaced the Altador one. (I know it's been like that but humor me) This struck me as odd since the plot is apparently still open, but yet they'd close the boards for it... Maybe it'll end soon?

It has gone through 2 changes already - it was renamed Altador Cup while the cup was in progress, then just yesterday was named Cyodrake's Gaze.

As it is a plot board, it reflects what plot or event is current at the time. Now having said that, I have no idea why the plot is still open while another one is in progress. Could it mean TNT is going to link the 2 up somehow??

Can someone explain to me how to find your spellbook at the very end? I've been following the walkthrough in the last split but I'm so lost. For those too lazy to click back, here's the part I'm confused on:
--> s. AH. You're not done yet though. Go to the last page of the Book, and click on the flames that the Darkest Faerie is holding for a close up.
--> t. Now we need to find a spell book in the ARCHIVES. To find which room to go to, you must look at your THE SLEEPER constellation.
Finding your Spellbook Room
* Take the coordinates of your Sleeper and write them down somewhere. (Suggestion: Use the coordinate finder to avoid mistakes!)
* Take the SUM of your x-coordinates (Add it as is! If it's negative, subtract).
* After taking the sum, ignore the negative sign if you have it.
* If it is 3 digits or more, take the sum of the digits. If it is 2 digits, LEAVE IT as is. That's your x-coordinate for the room that has the spellbook.
* Repeat for your y-coordinates.
--> u. Once you have found it, you there are presented with many spells.

I don't understand the "coordinates of the book" thing. I spent forever looking through my telescope for a star/clickable-something at the point (12,12) but there wasn't one. I tried going to the library and going 12 rooms over and 12 rooms up. All "not spell books" in there. The guide's like "ok after the math your coords are blah blah, so after you've found the book..." Skipped an important part! Where the heck do I go to find (12,12)?! And yes I clicked the faerie's flames from the last page of that book.
I'm going nuts, and I know this is one of those "think too hard about something and miss something obvious" things. :(

Maybe after we find Hoban, the ship will sail to Altador and bring us our prizes! :D

Perhaps you missed a click, or went one too far. Rather than clicking over just put it into the URL itself. Its also pretty easy to miss the spellbook; as I did the first time over... so just try it again~
