I thought the round was going to end today and I was disappointed at the thought because I was 13 short of an over total of 500.

 Yay, it is still going, and I made 205 for this round and an overall total of 501.

I just wanted to get to 500. Not a bad effort considering in my first round I only made 25.

The only problem I face now is boredom. Even with music going, I drift off in to neverland. :)

In one game I couldn't work out why I couldn't score a goal until I looked at the score and realised I already had 9. I totally spaced out, and was just playing on automatic.

Yeah, I hear ya. One time I was on auto-pilot myself and couldn't figure out why my perfect faerie ball execution didn't work twice in a row. Turns out it was an ice ball.

Yes! I finally got a 9-0 victory over Darigan! THANK THE LORD!!!

I agree entirely about how boring this game gets, I did actually fall asleep 3 times playing games. However, considering how bad I was in the practice round I'm pretty pleased with my overall 850 wins including 350 in this last round :) It's just a shame that so far I haven't played on a winning team!

...I managed 12 games this time 'round.

I just can't get enthusiastic enough about this game to sit there and play it 100 times. Once I score 9 goals, I just play chase with the opposing team until the clock runs out. At least the Altador Plot was mentally stimulating. Kind of.

I haven't even gotten that many this round. I get distracted way too easily and have too short of an attention span to play this game as long as everyone else seems to be able to.

I think there is a time when you get TOO many points.

Yes, there is such a thing.

Do this.

Take your total score for the tournament... all the point you've accumulated.

Take those points and multiply by three.
Then take that number and divide it by 60.

This equation (TotalPoints x 3 / 60 = Hours played) gives you your total number of hours you spent playing this stupid game.

I quit. Ive waisted a chunk of my life doing this. Think of all the things you could be doing outside or with a friend or doing something better with your life in that ammount of time... instead you played the same little virtual game getting a ball in a goal made of pixels... im sickened by myself. Post your total hours.... its gross.. isnt it?

I agree, even my 10 "measly" total hours is too much, and I *don't* even have a life. :P I was going to play my heart out to the end, but once it becomes automatic and not actual fun is where I draw the line. I bet the prizes will be crappy anyway, I am using my remaining hours until midnight for extra early sleeping. ;)

Not really - most of my games are played at night, when I would only be watching tv.

The most I spent at any one time at the game is 2 hours. All the other games where spread out through the day - play for 1/2 hour then do something else.

I bet most people spend more time watching tv, then playing Neo.

At least Neo is (most times) stimulating - tv can be just as mind-numbingly boring as watching paint dry. :D

Not exactly.

Sit in front of a T.V. screen for 10 minutes. What do you think you got from it?

1) I giggle at old episodes of House, M.D. (love Hugh), I scowl at the current episode of the Real World on MTV (Tyler, Svetlana, Paula, CALLAOS!), and then grimace at Star Jones's face on The View (although I guess now it will have to be at Rosie's mug).

2) I get to practice my hand-eye coordination AND I lose 3.4 kilocalories! Only 10 hours until I've burned off my NEW Venti Tangerine Frappuccino!!!

Or just divide your total by 20 :p

I'm proud of my scoring this round, at least with a 40hr/week job + "family time" on my ONLY day off while this whole competition has been running (4th o' July).
Round 1: 30
Round 2: 50
Round 3: 70
Round 4: 350 (Hurray! I am so damn tired of this game it's not even funny)
Total: 500
I figure 500 is probably one of the benchmarks between prize levels so that's been my goal. Unless we're "buying" our prizes with our points again. Are we getting lookup shields? 500'd be a nice lil display number on my lookup I think.

It depends on what is on TV. I watch the news until the sport comes on - that is about 15 minutes worth. I don't watch current affair programmes as it is known that they are biased.

I watch my favourite "soapie" for 1/2 hour and I have 4 favourite 1 hour shows that come on during the week at night.

Other than that I do not watch tv. I do not turn the TV on until 6.00pm.

Being on the computer (mainly neopets) gives me interaction with my guild members - people I would never have met otherwise, keeps my typing skills up, gives me beter hand-eye co-ordination, I get satisfaction for setting a goal and getting there.

Most of all - being on Neo gives me something to do - I don't have a "social" life and I choose to spend free hours doing something fun. When it becomes boring, I do something else.

This is the only time that I "forced" myself to keep playing. I had set a goal of 500 wins and I wanted to achieve it. Since getting that far (506 wins), I have not played anymore. I actually made my goal yesterday, so today I spent doing over things.

Yes, I thought that as well. That is why I choose 500.

Enough people played this game that the prizes won't be that rare!

Honestly, this game was boring and I found my self playing one game and just stoping to just listen to music.

I really didn't like the Altador cup, as, unlike a real tournament, nobody was knocked out of it. You could just rejoin a team. I like plots better since theres actuall skill involved. In plots, especially battledome plots, you can't just win everytime!

Wed Jul 05, 2006 7:13 am

Actually, I find that it takes more than three minutes...maybe four minutes per game or more (I don't know...feels like forever)...due to all the extra animations and things. Thank God I don't have to hear those sound effects or see that Yooyou ball kickoff screen ever again.
