I think it's great

they'll be needing to fix things a bit, but still... I like it a lot. And they put all the miniworld on the map too!

It's really nice, but it's going very slowly on my computer, I hope they have something in place for people with slower computers. There does seem to be a lot of space for new worlds on there though

It loads okay and moderately fast enough for me. :]
I think it's cool that now the world is rotatable, but it sorta sucks when they make it movable and stretches the lands instead of leaving the space for other lands. I mean, okay, the old one was kinda cluttered, but it was still fine. But now that they FINALLY at long last make the world movable, they just stretch the worlds and while there's space for developing new conutries, it ain't enough ..
Okay, that was just a rant. xP

Do you think they will eventually have a Neo solar system? With other planets I mean. It'll be a long time if they do.... but (?)
Thu Jun 22, 2006 1:03 pm
While this map system is kewl, I also hardly use the current one (dailies linking pages ¬__¬). It might make Altador easier to get to, rather than having to go through Faerieland.
One question: exactly what is that white and green satellite that shows up when you mouseover Virtupets?

The continental snowy mountains (totally needs a name) dont look right, the angle change wasn't worked out correctly and the drawings dont correlate well enough in my mind for the switching views to be right.
They should build a (big) solid Neopia (ooh,t hey should putit up on top of the TNT HQ so its like the Metropolis News thing in superman - you know? that'd be SO COOL). That'd work cooler because the art woudl just look better (working from somthing solid, rather than the sketches they have to stick with).
I think its fake (well, obviously TNT did it,) but its not the "real one" they're going to use. (I think).
While youre all reading my opinions, certainly after the altador cup a sudden earthquake will occur that does a massive continental shift that moves all the regions around do make it aesthetic and stuff. Its plausible

I'm sure some people would look forward to a massive international earthquake that shakes all foundations to miraculously shift all continents.
octochan: I thought it's just a random spaceship flying past occasionally. It flew past everytime we users were finding constellations on the telescope.

But the brilliance is that nothing above ground is damaged, not even a teacup perched precariously (yay for alliteration) on the edge of a table.

Well... that's completely awesome.
I suppose there will be some tweaking before it's officially released, like cleaning up the images a bit, and probably shifting a few things around. I do love how the globe in the bottom left corner changes images with each world you highlight, very nifty!

Plus there'd probably only be a slight tremor as a result and when you try to steal something but manage to only shift it a bit you could blame the earthquake and nobody would be none the wiser.

REMEMBER FRONT PAGE
22nd June
* Altador Cup - The results from Round Two of the Staff Tournament are in and you can visit the Staff Tournament page to see the winners! You can also marvel at how photogenic we are on the Neocam page.
Blahblahblah.
What is Remember Front Page? Do they mean "Front Page," as in the front page of the Explore map? >_>
I think it was supposed to be a small note to who ever was updating news, to update the frontpage but they forgot to remove it

I like it. I assume the art will be tweaked before it's actual release. At the moment Neopia Central looks kinda... mouldy

is the satellite in tele scope the same one that flies on explore map......could it be.....dun dun dun.......Sloth?

I think it looks.... well.... I don't like it.
I don't like how it's all watercolor and colored pencil looking, when the rest of the site is nothing like that.
I don't like the way the art is done... the pyramids look like little diamonds or arrows or something! The individual items are very hard to figure out what they are if you didn't already know, such as the haunted forest with the fire in the middle, it looks like seaweed or something. Or the mystery island head when you are scrolled so that you are directly above it. If you didn't know what that was already, you wouldn't be able to figure it out from that picture.
I am confused as to why the mystery island head tilts down properly when you scroll it to the side, but faerieland doesn't. (ie the bottom of it sometimes is parallel to the planet and sometimes perpendicular).
I don't like the fact that you'd have to scroll around to get to the other side. I like being able to get through with fewer clicks. I would also have preferred a smooth scroll option.
I don't like the way that it doesn't have WORDS telling you what you're looking at... just vague heiroglyphs in a tone-on-tone circle that don't really "pop" out at you and thus aren't easy to see.
also 0_o has anyone noticed that the lutari island heiroglyph looks like weed? i mean like marijuana?
I don't like the way the little circles bubble out to show you what you have selected. They are both hard to see and annoying.
ugh.
I don't think it would stop me from coming to the site but I would certainly continue to complain about it for a long time.
Here's hoping that it's a sample artwork, what do they call it in movies, um, you know, when they come up with a detailed sample to give you an idea what the finished product will be like.

Marijuana looks totally different o.O
I think when they'll add new worlds, they could shift the old worlds to make space for them.
