Don't blame me if I'm wrong though :P

The rule page wrote:the eight winning teams will again be randomly matched up and move on to the quarterfinals.

So you can't really predict the next match-ups accurately.

They say it's random but I'm sure they've had it planned out since before it started. And I probably didn't predict them accurately, I was just trying to show how it should be and might be.

Well, I have finally given in and decided to join another team. The prospect of prizes for playing many games was too tempting. I just hope that's what they meant in the news when they said "the more you play, the better your prizes".
I hope to be of help in reaching the next round. I scored 102 wins for Tyrannia, but I don't know if I'll be able to repeat that because of my final exams :x

I've been working on restocking souvenirs, and it's a real challenge. I don't really resell - just buy enough for myself, so I was wondering...has there been much of a price drop for items associated with teams that didn't move on? I know I'll be looking for a jersey for my original Altador team if I don't restock one. Also, I have all the water bottles and most of the hands ( a few duplicates, but not many) but hey - what's up with the Krawk Island Team Hand? Why is it so insanely rare?

Since my faerieland lost, i'll sign up with the only other team that i've ever played for: Haunted Woods.
Woods all the way!

Still stucking with Roo Island, though we'll probably loose soon.

Well you can't expect to win with that attitude :P

I've been thinking since the beginning that we'll never get past round 2 :P though of course this won't stop me from playing to my best.

Cute sig, btw.

Roo Island people, have a little faith! I know some good players have switched over to our team (they like how fast our little Roos move). And now we know for a fact that having fewer players doesn't hurt a team, so it doesn't matter if we're not the most popular (though we are more popular than you think).

Wed Jun 14, 2006 9:28 pm

Call it intuition, but I have a feeling Roo Island is doomed to be pitted against the juggernaught team, Darigan Citadel. Although the Citadel was fifth in the rankings, that just means it has spurned me into overdrive.

Mystery Island fans, I'm sorry for your sudden defeat in Round 2. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but I have a good idea as to what's going to happen. Many people will be defecting to MI because of the outstanding score they posted. People that join will ASSUME that they don't have to play a lot of games in order for the team to win. This adds dead weight to the team's valuable players and causes them to sink.

I wish I could make more predictions, but not everyone who's playing in the AC visits here. I may have to make a daring move and try to preach my strict, militant practices for DC over there in order to have the desired effect. Support with 297% and then you will KNOW you have victory!

Wed Jun 14, 2006 9:50 pm

Eh, it doesn't matter if Roo gets pitted against DC or not, as number of players doesn't matter (except, as suggested, having a lot of inactive players could ruin a team). And I've been haunting the Altador Cup neoboard and have seen a lot of newbies joining Darigan, MI and Krawk Island. ;)

Wed Jun 14, 2006 9:59 pm

I'm thinking Roo is in a good position. It seems a lot of dedicated players who got knocked out are joining. But it's not as well know/attractive as a lot of the others, so hopefully that means not as many newbies will join.

Also- what's up with the staff tournamet? It says the rounds coincide with the regular tournament rounds, but nothing's been said on it other than that voting has closed. If the rounds coincided, they should be done with round one by now, and (as far as we know) they haven't even started.

Isn't this funny? :) Fromt he main Altador Cup page:

Round 2 sign-ups have begun! You were on a winning team, so it's advised that you don't switch. ;)

This is what it says when you've already picked a new team, like for me for example, I played with Faerieland first, so we're clearly not a winning team, but my new team (Roo Island) was... Let's hope their database records also think I have always been on Roo Island, that means more prizes for me :P

That's not funny to me. Especially since you (and I) were "originally" on Faerieland, weren't you? I would say it is evidence there was a huge mistake somewhere along the line.

I believe that's just a way to remind people that there's no need to switch teams again. Plus, if you switched to Roo Island (or any winning team for that matter) you would then, in fact, be on a winning team. The records would still stand that you weren't always on the new team.

I do have some extra souvenirs, anyone interested in placing any orders?

I found out I didn't need to wait till the wee hours of the morning to snag stuff, so I may take a few orders over the weekend. Still, unfortunately, I do not have skill enough to grab a Jersey. There are only ever one or two in stock at a time and I don't seem to be quite fast enough.

I'll likely take orders between rounds, but I will definitely need to make sure I get rid of EVERYTHING I get because I sank 30K so far today and most of what I have isn't part of orders.

I have a 3-piece Tyrannia set up for grabs: Team Pennant, Hand, and Water Bottle

I have stuff for many other teams, I'm working towards 3-piece sets for each team running from 6 to 7.5 K. Contact me with a team and I'll try for a set.

If I start getting Jerseys, I'll let you know.

I am looking for my team stuff. I am MI. And like, what's with all the intimidation talk? I suppose you need to maintain an image.
