2006/Y8 Altador World Cup (Split 5)

I don't know if this got brought up but i just played a practice round, pushed shift, and one of my members suddenly dissappeared. Then after maybe 10-15 seconds the lost member came running back into the game....so that was awkward, is it normal?

Well, it's finally recording your wins. Don't know when that started, but I still have no idea how they'll decide which team wins and loses.

Also, does it seem like these guys are getting slightly harder after every win? I FUMBLED a ball once, and the guys are really knocking me around. They even scored 2 goals on me (against my 8 )

Also, it seems like it won't let me get more than 7 wins.

I switched teams to Kiko Lake just now to try them out and I can't change back to Altador

Edit: On my My Scores page, it says I'm Altador, but when I go to switch teams or try to play a practice round it thinks I'm Kiko Lake. According to other people on the neoboards, they're having a similar team switching problem with Kiko Lake too. I advise against attempting to temporarily switch to Kiko Lake at this time.

i doubt it... because you cant choose it as a team, and because jellyworld doesnt exist anyway so the whole thing is just nonsense.


By the way, can anybody link me to the page that quizzes you to which team you should be on? I just chose darigan immediately, but id like to try the quiz anyway...

I have the same problem, but Altador in "my scores" and Faerieland in the practice rounds. I think the error might have happened during the time when, after clicking "join", there was an error message saying something was down for updating. I don't think the problem is restricted to Kiko Lake, and I'm not sure whether the problem's still there since there's no error message anymore.

WOOHOO! 9-0 Darigan Citadel! I just played and set a new best score for myself. Anyone else have the same score or better? I have to admit, there's a lot of changes going on, the AI is tougher, the Loading Game screen has changed, and there's a Help option.

I'm hearing other people are stuck on other teams too. I didn't get an error message though. Maybe they're already locking teams since it's almost June 8th

All right, now it won't let me go past 9 wins. I have no idea what's going on. Has anyone else been able to get past 9 wins?

I finally got 9-0 (against the Jelly team), and... yeah, the goalie's ridiculously fast after that. I maybe, possibly, could have gotten a tenth goal if I had more than 15 seconds to try a passing strategy, but then again, I don't think I can turn my shooter around that fast.

I.e., there's no way I'll ever get beyond 9 goals.

Someone on the Neoboards just told me that someone from the Maraquan team apparantly scored 14-0. I don't know how much truth that rumor holds, but... wow.

Edit: Hey... if we're submitting our own scores, who in their right mind is going to hit "submit score" if they lose or tie a game? I wonder if TNT won't make submitting scores mandatory once the 8th rolls around....

Ugh. Hate. This. Game. I completely, utterly, absolutely suck at it. Seriously, a jar of mayonnaise could get a better score than I can. I'll just stick to rooting from the sidelines, thanks.

I meant WINS--your win/loss record. On the My Scores page, it tallies up how many wins, losses, and ties you've had. I've had no losses or ties, and I've had WAY more than 9 wins, but 9 is all it will count. Go to Standings and thn My Scores, and you'll see.
