Is the first room you're in considered 1,1 or 0,0?

I'm stuck on the gears.. I've had them reset by the janitor 3 times. this last one hasn't been reset yet but I don't have a 4,5,6 right gears my gears are:
r5,r3,r2,L6
L3
L4,L5,r4,L2

am i missing something?

it just got reset.. am trying again... wish me luck

How does one know what room he or she is in?

If you look in the middle of the url it says something like:

arcx=11&arcy=11

The room you start in is 0,0 though so I'm not sure which room is actually 12,12.

can someone send me a screenshot of the found hunter constellation? because i just can't seem to find the right size for it >.< I feel like i find it but then I see that its either astronomically too big or too small

The "ArcX" and "ArcY" numbers tell you East and North, respectively.

I also found the Spellbook in 12,12. But I don't know which spell to cast.

I went up one room and noticed the y coordinate and made it 12, then I went right one room, saw the x coordinate and made it 12.

I've tried a handful of numbers now for spells and get nothing. I tried "1" also. I tried at the 12 and multiples of 12 second marks. I've tried multiple of twelve randomly.

Well, it turns out there are infact 31 books in room (12,12). and i've tabbed through the lot of them and have no luck. anyone find it in a different room?

Same here, even wrote down the beginnings of the book numbers so I could be sure I hadn't skipped any. So unless it's time-related, it must not be room 12x12 for everyone.

Did anyone who found the book happen to note down (or can still look at) the book number? Maybe there's something special about it. *Grasps at straws*

upon searching, i've found nothing. back to 12,12 then i guess
