Nope, does not work for me

I was lucky and clicked a bunch of wheels and levers and got the fixed and went to the archivist "The archivist frowns as you enter. "A necklace on a pedestal? Guarded by a spectral beast of some kind? Surely these are not the tools of someone with nothing to hide. Go, find the next constellation."

I use the Star Mapper (thanks DarkFire) and I have located the Constellation but I can't seem to connect the stars correctly. Can anyone send me a picture of how it looks finished

Many thanks

And may I just take this opportunity to say Firefox SUCKS (really bad, as usual, always and again)! :x What the heck is wrong with that browser?!

Whats wrong with firefox?

Sun May 14, 2006 2:29 am

What the heck is dev.neopets.com and why is Firefox hanging trying to contact it?

That's normal. I think it's part of the sidebar or something, since i get lots of connections to it, but I can't be bothered to actually check. :P
Just rest assured that it's a normal occurence.
Yes, once again I state, I have tried ALL. And Firefox is just a disaster!

Maybe you should try what I suggested... see next paragraph.
But how would you do that? Changing everything to +/U floods the city, or at least it did for me (and a number of others who've posted on here).

Yes the idea is: purposely flood the city, then afterwards try changing one or two things. Change something, then change it back... etc. For me, it was the cocks, not the levers.
That's a lot of rooms. at least 4611686018427387904 rooms. i'm really surprised any of us managed to find the room with the plushies in it. by the way, has anyone re-found their plushie room?

It's no surprise that we found the room when you take into account it was within two or three rooms of the starting one.
yupp i sure did but it was an accident and all that was in there were cob webs and a old mop

Can you paste a link to this picture please? I can't find this room again, I even searched the first 11x11 rooms. Last time I found it in (0,2).

Redmanfubar: You can see how it looks by looking at the clue picture again, which you can do by going to the archivist and clicking the link near the bottom (text is "here"), or there's a link in the first post on this thread.

but, just for you, it looks a bit like this:

Code:
 -  /|\
   <-+->
    \|/

The five stars to the right are all connected, the last one isn't (so double-click it in the star mapper).
(I should totally use Preview in future.)

Well my IE never tries to contact it and never freezes or hangs on it or anything. If I try to visit dev.neopets.com in IE there is nothing to load.

I see no reason for a browser trying to load something unloadable! Grrr.
Don't ask me what is wrong with Firefox, that browser has ISSUES, lol.

Anyway, for all those that are helping, I have tried all, as in ALL, okay. Thank you, and sorry to sound so frustrated (as I am) but individuals sending in their combos seems to be the only thing I can try at this point.

Thanks to those sending their "winning combos" in. I shall try them soon.

EDIT: Firefox just screwed my Windows, trying to uninstall it! :roflol:

I'm starting to feel really bad I dont know what I did exactly but I read earlier wehre someone posted clicking the lever in the first room then clicking a wheel wich didnt work for me then i clicked the one next to it and ta da solved..... I think that prehaps for each room you have to get the water in a certain spot before moving on to the next? but I cant be sure especialy seeing as I cant do it again.... and im not sure what i did....

You might be looking in the wrong place. Or, you might just be thinking about it too much. Have you tried submiting it?

Sun May 14, 2006 2:52 am

I'm not certain (and growing less and less certain of anything in this plot by the minute), but I think the position of the water in the pipes has no relation to whether the puzzle is solved or not. But uh...I could be wrong...probably am, in fact...*bangs head on desk* X|

My constellation was super-easy to find. There were three colored stars in a row.

Are you sure you have the right stars? I connected the top one to the middle and continued to the bottom star, then connected the leftmost star to the middle and continued to the star on the right. Then I connected each of the 4 outside stars and used the add a star feature to click on the lone star on the upper left.

At this point I have to ask. If anyone made out an Excel sheet or something of all 256 kajiollion thousand million times one could try this, please to send it my way. I really am almost about to cry here for real.

Ferret thanks for the help

I can not believe it the maper was wrong the star Mapper gave me bogus points not even in the right area and definately not the correct shape. Up till now the Mapper was king...templates and all. I decided to use Stodder's instead and got diff stars to chart. these were correct.

Star Mapper (thanks DarkFire): http://www.boomspeed.com/zaniam/theSky.html & instructions.
Stoodder's Constellation Finder: http://pluse.hosting.devilcoderz.com/co ... dconst.php

Thanks again

OK, how about this? It's not a combination of switches/valves on/off that solves the puzzle. It's a matter of having some particular barrels or drains with water in them.

Did anyone save screenshots? What containers had water in them when it worked?

(of course you fill the containers and drains by moving the switches, but they may finish in any combination; that's why duplicating that info without paying attn to the water does not work, except by accicdent.)

Sun May 14, 2006 3:36 am

can someone grab the image of the constallation in the picture from the amulat? cause I really need to see it.
and Yes I got the water done but when i go back the amulat is gone :/
Edit once more: nevermind I didn't connect the lines in the middle
