aight I feel totally stupid, clicking everywhere but no luck. Where exactly is the quarry  Thanks

EDIT I finally got it sorry

just for the record, I never clicked 'check in' and I got it my first try. I just clicked the refreash button. And it also doesn't have to be on the :59, it needs to be somewhere after :00, I usually did it around :05. So I don't necessarily think that you have to use the 'check in' if you make sure to refreash at every new minute

I did mine around every :53 and it still worked. Btw, I clicked the appropriate action as well as check in after that every minute.

When you click on the treatment, it puts it in front of the numbers in your URL. Clicking "Check In" puts the treatment at the end of the URL. If you don't click on "Check In," it will put the treatment at the end when you click for the next pose. I do not believe that it is necessary, but just helpful to make sure you clicked the right thing for the minute.

Last night my daughter and I were wishing there was a "Kill Valeolus" option. We tried for about half an hour before giving up and going to bed. We'll try again after we get back from the dentist. (Ugh.) I think we were just not going about it sufficiently systematically.

awww, who could hate such a cute little thing? I wish we got to keep it.
although it would have been better if it were a little healtier to begin with.

what I would suggest is to check in in the beginning of the minute. at :05 ish, so you're definitely checking in in the right minute. Then right away do whatever action is needed. Wait til the next minute, check in at :05, do the required action, wait til the next minute, repeat as neccessary until the skeith comes. It worked fine for me. Hope that helps.

But the Petpet Protection league wouldn't like you very much if you killed the Valeous. Neither would Fauna, and she would never reveal her constellation clue to you then.

In other news, the foreman is being very unsubtle about something happening when all the gems light up. (Like anyone here hadn't seen that one coming already.) I'm just trying to think about the next clue. Jerdana's clue is her medallion orb. Currently, that's hanging around the mysterious statue in Maraqua. But all the clues appear in Altador itself. Will we need to defend someone in Altador? Or will we find the orb lying somewhere in the screens that already exist? This is pretty odd...

Anyway, I'm sure that Altador's constellation will involve a bow and an arrow lying around somewhere, as that's the pattern for his star. Don't know where that one will appear either, though. Will it be tied with hunting, or maybe an archery contest?

That or a 'chuck in the fireplace' option...that should get it lit up again *grumbles* I can not only use one of my hands because a potato peeler decided to rebel against me *whimpers* but now..ah, some stupid person just knocked the door and now I've missed two minutes *shudders* Meh, I'm rethinking buying a Vaelous as a petpet...most definately :x

Edit: Phew, finally got it

Maybe we'll have to defend the club president from the rest of the astronomy club. Or vice versa. 8)

In any case, I smell battledome challenger.

mayanspypilot wrote:I finally got it to work! For anyone that is still having difficulty, I suggest doing the following:

1. At "hour:minute:00", click on the picture of the Vaeolus in the Archivist's Office.
2. Look at the picture and click the corresponding action
3. Immediately after selecting an action, "check in on the vaeolus".
4. At the top of the next minute, check in again.
5. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 until the Vaeolus is healed.

(The key part for me was step 3)

I just have to say, I love you for posting those steps, mayanspypilot. They worked the first time I tried them.

Maybe the club president saw it coming and will bring some big friends to corner the rest of the club when they jump him, and you have to go twap him over the head with your astronomy club to make things right. :P

A BD challenger somewhere in the plot would rock, though. They'd either have to be weak or non-mandatory, but battling is just too cool a function to skip over for a plot.

Cilian wrote:Ok kids, I'm going to say what I did and try to make it as clear as possible. I picked a part of the minute (for me it was between :00 and :10, but do whatever you want as long as it's all in the same minute)I clicked check in, whatever action the pic told me to do, and then check in again. Three clicks pretty close together.

Exactly what I did.

Basically, the idea here is that one of the four pictures will appear during every minute. They might be the same one, two times in a row, but you have to "check in" to see the current one.

Then obviously you do the action that the petpet needs.

Then, we add another "check in" immediately, because it seems to tell the computer to register the treatment you just completed, by inserting a record of it into your URL. (watch the address bar and you'll see it change!) This step may or not be necessary, but I thought of it like this: If you check in right away, it registers the action during the same minute that you DID that action. That way, the computer won't say... "hey um, wait... you just did the last action, but you did it during the last minute, right? wait... is this a proper match or did you miss one?"....

Does that make sense? Anyhow, we do it just in case.

So then, during the next minute, you check in to refresh... action... register.

Next minute, check in to refresh....action....register.

One thing I did that helped, was that I wrote a list of 11 minutes (and oh by the way, those coders or URL-readers, remember that the first action is action #0, so when you get 0-10, that is eleven minutes worth of work!)

So I started at like 11:16. I wrote down
1.) 16-
2.) 17-
3.) 18-

and so on through action 11. On my page, every time I did a step, I wrote it on the line. So my first action was medicine, next was food, then food again, it would look like...
1.) 16- meds
2.) 17- food
3.) 18- food

That way, if I was sitting around picking my nose or playing dice a roo on another window while I waited, I could look at my paper and keep track of whether I had already acted during that minute, or if I needed to do my steps.

The only thing that I would say that contradicts those who go before me, is that I don't think you should click immediately at the :00 second mark. Too much chance that you might click too soon, and get the old picture instead of the new one. I recommend waiting until at least 3-4 seconds into the minute.

Edited because I can make little quotey things work properly, yes I can!

ok that's it, I'm outta this plot

Aw, don't go... I wasn't really picking my nose! :D
