yeah, April Fools joke..... i forgot about it and sent a short comment to Neopets about the "change". LOL I've been had.

I forgot that Neopets was bought out by Viacom and that if they'd need more servers, a MAJOR company like Viacom could easily afford to accomodate Neopets with more servers.

I forgot about it all. So they are setting up their joke for tomorrow. Damn, they got me.

I'm really hoping it's just a joke. I mean, it BETTER BE.

I can barely afford to feed my pets currently (my premium service died on me, and the pages load way too slow, so restocking is hard, not to mention trying to play games on an already slow computer with the banners is a bunch of crap.) so them adding a tax like this, would just kill me. xD

Although if it is a joke, then it sure fooled me.

This is elaborate even for TNT for April Fools. The neo-extreme one was my first year on Neo, I almost had heart failure! Then I laughed so much, that one was brilliant.

I thought it was funny for the first few minutes, reading the news, then the faq, etc. But now with that darn thing following me down the page I ended up just smooshing my browser screen in until it doesn't show. It was giving me a major headache and making me dizzy (have a balance disorder).

There have been some angry parents posting on the boards because their children didn't know it was a joke and got all upset People are posting saying they're quitting! I've tried to post that it is April Fools, but not being believed. And there are apparently places where this isn't done, so they're completely confused.

I just hope this thing isn't all weekend. I showed it to my roomie - she's refusing to log in until it's gone.
