Mine at first glance looked like it had just moved along the sky, yet on further inspection the stars didn't match up.
Both maps can be found here:

The star patterns on the 'explore' page are purely co-incidental. We are doing something with constellations in the future and the explore map will be updated accordingly. Each constellation has its own back story and meaning, so it should be pretty interesting.
Updated accordingly but purely co-incidental?
Elric: Yes the maps are completely different.

Yes - now if I find a constellation on my new map I won't be able to plot it anyway

If the second set ever comes up, NEVER CLOSE THAT WINDOW. As long as it's still there, you can use it. It's not like it will go away after a certain amount of time.

Seriusly, how are we to learn about people from findng their constellations? Wouldn't we just hear the story about how the constellation came to be like all of the greek stories about the constellations?

I did the same with my telescope, I keep the second view, not refreshing it, so I'll be able to plot it if I found something if I EVER get my secong sky star data

Great Idea! I just hope I can find the second map (and recognise it as the second map). I wish we new what time it changes.
Doeas anyone have any clue as to what time it changes??

I know people say you don't have to do anything special other than refresh, but I am seriously starting to doubt that. I started refreshing at 5am. (it is 6:15 pm now) Each hour that passes I shorten the time between refreshes. For the last few hours, I have refreshed as soon as the page finishes loading. Other than times when the page refreshes very slow, there has not been more than a minute and a half between refreshes for the last several hours.

I just thought it had a thing about it because it's the first, and only time I've gotten only six matches. I also have a theory that those specially marked gems over the people have something to do with it too. Because some have like a darker surrounding with markings around them.

I've been reloading and reloading, and can't get my second set. Can someone give me theirs (I know it's different from mine)? I'm working on a theory that might hinge on the second set.

Thats not what they said. We will be finding out the story of each constelation - ie why each hero deserved such an honour.
I had forgotten about that entry though, good job.
Also - I'm having serious doubts about the second map. I haven't searched for mine - because it won't help me right now if I did. I do, however, have a feeling that it's just something to throw us off. When they were first found it was a mass panic that they would keep changing making things impossable - right now, I think thats where TNT want us.

Make sure if you use IE your browser is set to check for newer versions upon Every Page Visit (there is a bug with the Automatic setting).
Add if you use FireFox, well you're on your own, too many problems with it in my opinion. Having said that I like to close my browser windows and sometimes shut off my computer, so I can't simply keep a page (or Tab that won't refresh) open all day just so my Telescope view won't change.

I've worked on celling patterns for hours. I can tell you, there's five kind of ordinary gems used for 11 of the patterns, plus a unique gem used only on the gatherer pattern ( I suppose the different kind of gems correspond to the different kind of stars, 6 each) PLUS there is some bizarre gems on the sleeper celling, I have already posted about that, I dont know how to interpreter that but it's the only celling with special gems.

Ok I guess sort of but the thing about our mythology for constellations they don't tell us why they deserve them but why they are there. Like, scorpio and sagitarius sagitarius was sent by the gods/goesses to get rid of scorpio, scorpio ran and escaped into the sky and sagitaruis fallowed forever chasing after scorpio in the sky.
Yes, this is gunna be like the neopian mythos but one would think they would probably fallow ancient mythologies exampl. Also, who's gunna be telling us of these great deeds? In the neopedia it said that the Altadorians had forgotten the great accomplishments of their city or what ever.

So we have to get BOTH skys mapped?
