This is what just happened to me. I was playing Dice-a-Roo, got a game over and decided to quit, and put 2000np in my bank. I had 198np left out. Then, a few minutes later (after doing something not related to Neopets) I refreshed the page and had 1,198NP out when I should have had just 198NP out. I just put it in my bank. It's not OUR fault that Neopets has gone glitchy and what are we meant to do with the extra NP anyway?

i had 10 extra np than usual. but maybe i just missed a random event...

Perhaps scores were accepted by the staff and came through and you got the NP?

From what people are saying, it sounds to me like people's NP are being taken from one account and sent to somebody elses.

I am quite happy with this glitch.
One second, I had about 32K..left the computer for maybe half an hour... came back to about 44K. Left again to answer the phone and came back with over 50K, so I bought a lab map piece.

I had 25K out overnight and when I maximised screen in morning, I only had 15K (was blaming my family for losing stuff on my account until I saw this thread)

I thought something was going wrong. I had more NP out than I usually do and I had no trades or auctions active, so it wasn't from that...
