Altador Plot Split #3

Yay!! How fun a new plot!!!

Since it has been a while from the first time the release of Altidor and the other side of Neopia was mentioned, I was wondering... Does anyone remember if that was all the new places set to come out? I was wondering if we should expect any other worlds (excluding Lutari Island of course) during this "mini plot". Since Sophie the Swamp Witch showed up on the advent calendar I wondered if any one heard Bogshot village mentioned as a possible new place?

I think most of the important "history" from the PS2 game has been posted here already, and I agree that this will probably be independent from the game. However I thought I might mention this just incase it does come in to play at some time during the plot. Several of the Heroes showed up during the game to "train" or aid Tor and Roberta, (although we didn't know them at the time). Kelland the thief gave Tor an amulet to protect him from the darkest Faerie's curse. The King himself was an old knight that helped Tor join in as a Knight and showed him how to be honorable. Jerdana met Roberta early on, and Gordos helped them along at Market town. Several of the others came into play as well, in and out of their statues.

That may not be relevant at all, but then again maybe it will, at the very least those who haven't played the PS2 game know that the Heroes played a semi-active role and may do so here as well.

Either way I am glad to be working on a plot with all of you again!

I mostly lurked all LDP because I was always to far behind to contribute. But I am caught up here and am willing to test any crazy future theories we need tested!!!

so... does anybody think that the month names is a HUGE coincidence? Does anybody think it has anything to do with anything?

-Kelland, the Thief could be associated with the month of Running (theives run away after they've stolen something)
-Florin, the Farmer could be associated with the month of Eating (farmers help all of us eat) or with the month of Storing (harvesting food)
-Psellia, the Dreamer could be associated with the month of Relaxing (dreaming...relaxing...I do them both at the same time)
-Jerdana, the Protector could be associated with the month of Hiding (to protect something, some people would hide it)


I just want to rebring this up..... because especially with that first bunch.... if that WASNT intentional, its pretty cool

Just to add to the weirdness of the observatory- the sky outside the lower windows is a completely different colour to the sky through the roof...

i think you have a point with the months. I got psellia and apparently she was the original air faerie so. oh and she would be the month of rest/sleeping?

You're right, BUT I think that's because those two statues don't show the full view. When you look at the hallway from the Statue 6's viewpoint (forgot which one that is) you can see the entrance (or the assumed entrance) and there is a back wall which continues on both the right and left, or so it appears. This has led people to believe that one direction may be the one from which we entered the room and the other is another passage that we'll have to explore later on in the plot.

Or at least we think we have. =D Not at all sure what it means yet, but we're thinking along the twelve heros/twelve months lines too.

That's kind of neat, Kamil, and it looks okay for some of them, but with others it doesn't seem to work very well (there are no stars even near their heads, for example). Also, we already have constellation TCG cards for each hero, and the constellations on the cards don't look like the ones on the ceiling.

I really think this plot is going to be simple and straightforward (I mean, look how easily and quickly people figured it out up to this point), and we won't have to do any complex image interpretation. We just have to wait until we join the Astronomy Club, get our telescopes and learn how to read the stars properly.

I think TNT might be waiting for when the other side of neopia is revealed to release some of the miniworlds (lutari island/bogshot village). They need more worlds then just Altador to fill up the map on the other side.

I liked TheEaterofWorlds's explanation for Kelland being 'Hiding':

TO further back up my Kelland theory, the flavor text for his card is "Stealthy, creeping, shadow-like, Kelland waits for his chance to strike'

Oh, the ones in ( ) are the ones that didn't have their titles directly similar to the month (i.e.: Altador the Hunter - Hunting, as opposed to Psellia the Dreamer - Relaxing). The ones in italics are ones that I'm not sure with.

You'll just yhave to keep moving your mouse around until it changes to a hand icon. It's located around the top right hand corner.
