Does it not seem likely that the "jewels" that we see over each statue are constellations that somehow match what is seen upstairs. FOr example the picture upstairs shows a constellation, go back down stairs and do something with the statue with the matching one?
The problem with this theory is that none seem to match at present - perhaps we need the telescope first?

It has already been stated many times that the statue in the ruins of Maraqua is indeed the Darkest Faerie, one of the statues and "heroes" in the Hall of Heroes in Altador.

so apparently, to star map you have to start at the time when the star you're following is out, example: 7:00 pm (pacific time). Then you have about 25 minutes before you have to stop, because starmapping is usually used when you're lost in some big uncharted place. Then you have to wait until the next day at 7:00 pm to start again, because the as the earth turns, the stars appear in different places.

I signed up in the month of Relaxing (June 4) and my other account signed up in the Month of Running (March 23).

My account had the oil with Florin. My side got it with Florin again.

I've just got some things for you guys to consider in regurds to this.

Somebody pointed out the fact that the stars currently being shown from the star-dome look somewhat like the theif's constellation from the TCG.

at first i thought.... "yeah. four stars, four stars. probably a coincidence"...

but, they both make a diamond shape, and looking closer at the cards, each of them DO have a defined shape.....

also, it seems neopets "took out" the gatherer's Trading card picture, because maybe it gives something away.... but, i have got an image of it and included it in this picture with the rest. Look at these, and look how each character has a constellation relating to them...
Image
(could take a second to load... its a two frame animation but its big)

maybe im being anal about it... but i do want to have SOME contribution to this effort, and i think this is a good speculation....

maybe if you see ANYTHING that resembles these symbols:

you should start thinkin'.

... And for the record, I also tried comparing the jewel/constellations found above each statue with the statue itself... i layered them together in photoshop, and tried playing with the size and opacity of each image... twisted...turned, and while they DID have SOME similarity between them, it was so scarce that I am just having a hard time believing that it actually means anything. I mean, you have to look really, REALLY close to find a resemblance. There is a very small one... but it just doesn't add up.
ive officially put in my two cents! whoo!

hope this helps.... even a little

Are we allowed to complete the plot on multiple accounts? o_O I would have thought that was against the rules because it meant, come prize distribution time, you'd get double/triple/etc. the rewards.

Also, I signed up in September, which is the month of gathering, not relaxing.

I signed up in the beginning of April, and I got the Dancer.

I just tried the URL for the 6th club, but it took me right back to the main page of the archives, so either that part of the plot isn't activated yet, or going there between 6:30-9:30 NST isn't how you join. (Or both, which is most likely in my mind.)

Well, constellations never fully make the exact shape of anything that they are supposed to represent. (It's hard enough trying to figure out how people got a certain image of them out of the stars.)

But, I want to differ with what you said... I think there is quite alot of similarities between the statue's position and the gems above them. For example, Jerdana is in a very flowing position, with everything curving and somewhat spiraled. The gems above her are in the same pattern--they seem to curve and take the shape she takes, etc.

I guess we just need to wait it out and see what happens. :-x

Out of all these ideas i would have to say i disagree with all but wonder weesel's... For a few reasons. First off the theif has a dark stone near his statue. There is only two and the other is next to the stairs. The four BIGGEST stars are in the exact same shape and even in the same direction. I think we should be lookink at conselations or maby patterns in the gems.. like inverting them or anything you can think of.

What dark stone?

On the floor in the hall of heros there are two redish brown tiles unlike the rest.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:49 am

Oh. Those are colored by shadows, I think.

I like Weezle's idea. I'm thinking we'll need a telescope though. I've been trying to wander around trying to see where I might get one, but I'm really not good at this.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 3:05 am

OK. Finally got through everything. I've got a few things to mention.

Maybe Altador and maraqua used to be neighbors but something happened while banishing the darkest faerie that ssent altador spinning off into another direction? Just a thought.

And, more imporantly, it says in the neopedia article
Word is quickly spreading that two young heroes, a Lupe and an Acara, had something to do with the great city's restoration.

Fauna, the Gatherer is an acara. The lupe is the king. But what's up with fauna? is she somehow special?
