SDB PINs?

While looking through my SDB this morning, I found this at the bottom of the page

Add a PIN Number for use in this area!

The page leads to a coming soon thing, but wow. What a way to protect your items. If you could have your own PIN incase someone does infact get into your account, they'd need that to get anything from your SDB, maybe even your bank too. Although I could see how it could get annoying at the same time.

Yes yes yes! TNT have finally got it - I've had this idea for months now and I'm glad that it had come to life.

I hope they add the feature to galleries/shops and pets as well. I personally don't mind the extra hassle of them as long as I know that they are remotely safe.

Looks very good, and with a bit of effort on the side of TNT, and a bit of patience on our side bearing the inevitably many glitches and bugs this system will at first have, this could become a general feature. Maybe needing to enter your password before you can pound a pet, so if they get to your account, your pets are as safe as your items will be with this system? But overall, promising indeed

Like on Gaia...You have to enter your password when you're creating or accepting a trade, or buying something.It makes it a lot more secure.I'm very happy this is happening.

This is a great first step, and something that I and many others have been asking for for a long time. I've been sending in as suggestions for almost 2 years now that there be a way to "lock" our pets, equipped petpets/weapons, galleries, bank, etc.

I hope this SDB feature is implemented and that there will eventually be a way to safeguard not just our accounts, but what's in our accounts.

That's awesome!!! I love it! I hope they ask for a pin for your bank account too.

Ooo!! Maybe we'll have the option of putting pins on our SDB, bank, shop/gallery, pets, weapons. So we don't have to use the pin on any of the stuff, or we can use pins on some of it, or none of it!

I think it's a fabulous feature, presumably inspired by these latest rashes of cookie grabbing. As long as cookie grabbers don't grab the PINs too, of course.

I'd actually like to see a PIN feature on all the most important aspects of the site. Most of my assests are in the bank, the stock market, and equipped to my battle pet, not in my SDB. I'd love to see it added to all those things, as well as shops/galleries and abandoning a pet.

It would also be nice if you could enable them seperately for each feature, too, but that might be asking too much.

I agree, Bgriph. The bank has a security feature - a max of withdraws a day - but does not help much.

A further security check to access one's stock portfolio is also a must have

However, this is a welcomed new feature. Let's say our thanks for neopets' powers-that-be for trying to improve things around.

I don't see how it could be too much trouble - you do it once, it's hardly an effort to add that same code to other parts of the site.

I think this is a great feature as well. I'd like it on the bank and galleries the most since I rarely keep anything too important in my SDB.

It could also be another form of proof that your account is indeed yours when writing to support in the unfortunate event that someone gets a hold of the rest of your account.
