I had the same problem. I think I can help.

Try downloading Hijackthis and getting rid of it. Then go to misconfig and uncheck it.

Kristina agrees. Muchly. She used to have Imesh on her computer before it went pfffft. Luckily it is all re-formatted now.

Kristina downloaded Kazaa on her brother's computer and now its all messed up. Kristina is planning on downloading adaware to get rid of it. :)

Kristina wonders why she is talking in 3rd person.

Ok, this is more of a rant than a story...

My dad is the worlds biggest jerk when it comes to the computer. First off, he blames ME when we get spyware/adware because he couldn't possibly have gone to a site with it. Then, he won't let me get a new browser, makes me use IE and then blames me when it allows popups with adware (I recently have been using Mozilla Firefox, contrary to his knowlege. This has cut down a bit). Then, he gets mad at me for downloading a spyware scanner, then turns around and downloads one himself. I swear, as soon as I get enough money, I'm getting my own bloody computer... Image

*Pats Firefox* The amount of adware on my computer got reduced by a huge amount since I started using it. I'm very overprotective of my computer now because I've had a few bad scares in the past (sounds like I'm talking about a kid or something :P )

Same here. When I have a child, I bet you when I take them to the doctor I'll say, "Can you scan her for viruses?"

I'm going through the same, except for it's with my brother. Just stop using the computer for a week, and let him know. When the computer goes wacko because of him, maybe he'll get the idea. If he doesn't, just try not to explode. I've exploded many a time due to my brothers ignorance towards the computer, and it's only made things worse.

Do you have more than one computer? If not, go to a library and use those computers...I just mean stop using the same computer as your Dad.

I'm not within walking distance of another public computer, and I'm too young to drive :(

Can you possibly live without a computer for a day? And be sure your Dad gets on? Or even better, clear the history and get rid of anything bad just before your Dad gets on, and then show him which sites he goes to and what they cause.
