By the way, I said go outside in whatever climate you are in. Not time. Don't try to use my own words to trap me and my point, which is, stop complaining about it and use this time to go do something... assuming it's not 2:00 in the morning (which it wasn't when most people posted about this).

Willow: It get's really annoying coming here every day looking for new/unreleased and/or interesting stuff and seeing about 3 topics dedicated to complaining about every little detail about Neopets. Try running the site and I guarantee you wouldn't do a better job. Even if you were a programmer and it was your job, your still not going to get everything fixed right away.

Guys, it's 11:00 where they are. They have probably given up on whatever the problem is and went home, leaving the site down to make sure nothing goes wrong while they are away.

[.kT-pLay3r.] wrote:Well...when someone rants, it kinda shows that they like to play neopets. If I don't like playing neopets, I wouldn't care much about having the site down and won't make a single noise of it.

Actually, by not ranting (about the site being down) I'm not saying I don't care about the site and that I don't like to play Neopets. It just means that I understand that there are a bunch of people behind the site and that it's not as if they just ignore the glitches.

If it annoys you - then DON'T open the threads and read them.

Problem solved very quickly and easily.

Good theory! That's like if Bush were to say, "Hey, things aren't looking so hot for me right now. I'll just leave the troops in Iraq and ignore them until the election is over"

*please no one comment or turn into debate. I tried to think of a non-political example and I couldn't! I really couldn't! What's happened to me!!!! *

If you're so tired and dissapointed of/in Neopets, then don't play it. Problem solved very quickly and easily. *note that that was sarcasm*

And I'd much rather state my opinion instead. It opens room for interesting conversations such as these.

I'll leave that alone and I'll only say this: That is a very, VERY bad comparisson. :battar:

Oh and that, if you're getting frusterated, imagine how much the programmers are getting frusterated. I know I get frusterated when I can't do something. Plus, by keeping the site down they aren't hurting anyone so it's safe to leave it for 7 or 8 hours or whenever the people come in for the morning shift. I know I'd probably go home and get some sleep and I'd outright call you a liar if you say you wouldn't.

I know some people don't rant but still like neopets. I mean most of the time most people have the tendency to rant.

Personally, if I was TNT and I saw people complaining about the same things over and over, I'd start to think something might be wrong. I also might try to do something about it.

We play Neoepts because we enjoy it. We also complain because we recognize the potential that it is not reaching.

We complain out of love. :D

Simply put - yes - you have the right to complain about the people here complaining. But the problem is easily fixed by not even reading the posts.

The complaints regarding neopets are not as simple to resolve.

My poor ixi is stuck in training too. Oh well. :(

C'mon eveyone let's stop arguing about TNT. Moogum, you made your point, Dag you made yours. Both are valid.

Okay, I'd accept that answer (I guess), but not in this situation. It's not as if they don't fix the glitches (in this case it's probably ust taking some time and they want to make the site safe by just taking it down).

It's one thing to say that they are ignoring complaints about how they don't... explain their mistakes (once again I don't believe in this but for arguements sake...) but you can't say that they see a glitch and say "hmm let's not fix it".

But you just said that they are saying that, leaving a glitch, and hoping the morning crew will handle it!

That's like *I got a better one now* a grocery store sells out of chips, and because that one part of the store is not working, they shut the whole place down!

*much less taboo, I'm so proud of me! :D *

Here, here! You took the words right out of my mouth, Willow. Moogum, it is so very easy to just not click on a link about a subject you obviously are frustrated about (note the spelling of frustrated, it's not frusterated!)

Riiight... because them taking the site down in the first place is them just ignoring the glitch. What I'm saying is that it's 11:30 at night and after spending all day on the site (on a weekend) trying to fix the glitch or whatever, they decided that it was time for them to get some sleep. They aren't "hoping the morning crew will handle it". They are hoping that the morning crew will have more success fixing it than they did, and that to keep everyone safe from exploding/being taken advantage of by the glitch, they should leave the site down.

And that new analogy doesn't make much sense. Obviously this glitch must be fairly large or they wouldn't take down the whole site. So it's not just affecting "one part" of the site.

Once again, I'll repeat: I'd much rather state my opinion about it then ignore it, even if it frustrates me.

It would be better for Neo to just close down the part of the site they are working on, and leave the rest open. It's really not fair to the users who want to access the site.

And, on the topic at hand, did you notice that the person said that they were getting back on Neopets after a long break? Sure, perhaps it ruining the weekend is a little extreme, but wouldn't one be upset when they were so excited about getting back on and saw a Down Page that wouldn't go away for hours?

Oh yeah, and no offense, but did you ever hear of the phrase 'If you don't have anything constructive/nice/good (whatever the case may be) to say, don't say anything at all?'

Now when you say "fairly large glitch" do you mean larger or smaller than a glitch that gives out passwords to peoples emails so that hackers can access any users personal information such as credit card numbers, other passwords, personal emails...
