Hm... I chose the scimiter (I think! - it was the first weapon) but only managed a draw. My weapon disappeared. When I go back to the BD Razul is still on my opponent list but now with the comment "You have weakened Razul".
I suspect I can go back to the temple and try a different weapon but so far it won't work, whenever I type in the prophecy I get the same long screed but the final message is "Nothing Happens". I don't know if I need to wait (and if so for how long) or what.
Any suggestions?

Ugh. >.< I did the symbols in tablet order first and got the wrong prophecy. Now it won't let me click on them backwards. I sure hope we can "translate" the symbols more than once or this truly sucks.

Yeah, mine said that too. But it's still in my inventory and I could still use it to draw with Razul (and the draw is because my pet is pathetic).
And my weapon is still around after the fight. (I've got the Mace of Righteous Flame)<hr>

I did it too! You can. Just reload your comic (and just to be sure, I clicked on a few wrong symbols before starting over.)
After that I was able to redo my clicking and get the correct translation.

Yes, I had to go through them more than once, I just revisited the fortune teller and then went back to the story, no problem!
I think that collectively we will have to defeat him, with each of us weakening him. Not sure if we will be able to weaken him more than once though.

has anyone tried the weapon on a different opponet?
I wonder if well get to keep it after the plot and it will be one of our rewards?

I did the same thing, then read wrong prophecy, got scarabs, went back to comic, did backwards, read right one.

What was the time lockout for messing up the message to the statute again? I sadly have to leave soon and locked myself out about 15 minutes ago by putting in the message the wrong way.

I returned to my statue, spoke my translation again, and I just "scratch my head in puzzlement" Wondering if I should keep trying or do an incorrect prophecy to get myself locked out? Any schools of thought on that?

with a whole page to scroll between each line, like I was going to get something good at the ends....

I clicked from top to bottom of the tablet in the comic. which way do I have to do it, to recieve the right prophecy and NOT those scarabs?

if you try to use hte weapon in anther battle you get
"Nothing Happens."

I tried fighting the spirit of the ruins with it, in the battle info bit it just said "Nothing Happens"
