Lost Desert Plot Discussion #118 (Summary in First Post)

It is finally raining in the lost desert today, I got food at the shrine and took to chef, but nothing happened.

In case those still navigating the scroll rooms haven't discovered:
you can go from level 2 stairs to level 3 stairs in one step (17,20)
you can cut corners by staying one space back and taking the diagnal.

OMG! I've been envying all the people who'd mapped their scroll racks prior to start of the plot ...

I am sure glad I wrote down exactly where my scrolls where when I did find them. I started it when my second scroll (ever) was in Anubi's Toxicology section and continued on fromt here. like b/22,5 which is b for basement then row 22 column 5. I must say that the last challenge was still hellish! At least the guide for it was easy to write!

Im still looking for my jelly trap

I've tried 11 doors so far and I have all but my jelly trap lol

Don't forget that you need a riddle room next. If you find one write down carefully where it is!

lol the riddle trap was the first one I found, and believe me I wrote each location, colour, symbol and shape down of where they all are

Edit: I've found all but my darn jell trap and nearly gone through all my symbols, looks like I'm gonna have to try all colours too, am already half way through my blue doors

Huzzah! After 16 tries, I finally have crystal 4. I get my light in three hours and then I can hurry up and wait with the rest of you. Logically, the next part might not be out. Given the light times and temple lockouts, we might have the weekend for everyone to catch up. I might break down and map my temple. I've made it this long without, but I want to be able to get directly to my statue room. Plus it gives me a chance to haunt the boards and help out others.

I've now been through 17 temple doors, with an hour betwen each, without finding a single riddle-room. It's gone beyond silly, into mindless, pointless, boring, nonsense. I'm thoroughly demoralised with the whole thing. Fed-up, down, wish I'd never started.

Yep, I'm approaching that number too and it's the first time in this plot where I feel critical of the game. Everything up to this has been flawless and understandable .... even slugging through the repository has purpose (albeit boring). These random aspects of Neopets are the things I enjoy the least.

At least you aren't still looking for the spiked trap...
I've reached 17 without getting one. But I can say I know where all the other traps are >.>

I found all my other traps EXCEPT for the jelly when I was looking for the spiked room. I figure it's my fault for not noting what events happened in the various rooms during the times I was looking for the tablet fragments or the faerie. Seems a high price.

I'm sorry. I found tons of jelly on my puzzle hunt. All colors, all symbols, all shapes. Do you remember ever being jellied when you were getting tablet pieces? If you do, it wouldn't hurt to visit your tablet rooms again until you get it. You'd certainly be no worse off than you are now. I'm sorry.

I'm next to positive you need it since the message leads to each new crystal which leads to the scroll for the fortune teller. Which sequence are you working on?

What do you mean by mapped your scrolls. The racks in the repository changed for each different crystal.

No they don't. My red Ra in Anubis' Toxicology has stayed the same throughout. Your directories change. Every scroll that i recorded the location for has stayed the same. I only recorded the location of the ones I used on from my tablet and I am glad I did when they came up again.

There are a number of people (I didn't) who mapped out where every scroll in thier Scroll Repository is. Scary, huh?

I'm pretty sure she means for each part when she found the right scroll, she'd note where it was in case she had to reread. I did the same thing that last sequence.
