I didn't move it off my account, I just made a ton of trades on my side accounts and simply offered on them. It's so frustrating waiting for my pets to unbloat. I'd like to put the np back in the bank so I can get my interest tomorrow.

Ahh.. very smart! I take it that the avie wasn't in your prefs. Although everyone I asked said they got it on their first visit (6 or 7 people), the help sites say it is random. Sorry.

Once I got the avatar I was unable to visit the Happiness Faerie if I remember correctly and yes, I suppose being taken to the Space Faerie (considering she is Sloth's mortal enemy would make sense). You did manage to get the avatar though?

I took this quote from avatar.starried.net on how to get it:

Nothing but Neopets says:
"You need to have the 'I *heart* Sloth' avatar as your active avatar then go to here (the Happiness Faerie in the Gallery of Heroes) and keep refreshing until you get the I ♥ Happiness avatar."

So if you already have the I ♥ Sloth avatar as your current avvie, and didnt get the I ♥ Happiness one the first time, I suppose that means wait until Sloth Day, or refresh a lot?

... well this probably has nothing to do with it, but from all the screenies from under tournament 11, people seem to get the avatar if they used within 1 tiles of their level. i.e if level is 10, they can either win/lose with 9,10, or 11 tiles to get it... and the people with over 10 it generally seems to be the same but with the level divided by 2...

Thanks to everyone for posting what they remember about the Master Vex avatar. And thanks for the screenie, Untouchable Dragon.

I still see no pattern whatsoever. Hopefully one of you can look at the screenies and posts and see something I didn't.

I am curious to see if a guide was used, leading you to repeat the same moves during several consecutive matches. So if you have the avie, or have the gold trophy without the avie, please post whether or not you used a guide, and if possible a link to the guide.

And got my avatar in tournament 10, it's probably 3 to 4 weeks ago, but I can't remember who I played against. (forgive me if my English is bad, I'm trying since it's not my native language )

Did you mean within one tile of their tournament? or their level?

Oddly, the number of total tiles seems to be within +-2 of the Tournament number.

I also noticed that with the first set, where the number of tiles played is within +-1 of the Tournament number, the number of total tiles is within +-2 of the tournament number plus the number of tiles played.

So to sum this up:
For under tournament 11:
The number of tiles you play has to be within +-1 of the tournament #.

For tournament 11+:
The total number of tiles played (yours plus the opponents) has to be within +-2 of the tournament #.
or
The number of tiles you play has to be within +-1 of the tournament # /2.

This is posted on a subsequent page, but I thought I would put it here for those viewing the theory.

I think it's definitely random, but within the ratios on the previous page. I've purposely lost and lost and lost on tournament 11 trying for the avie and still haven't gotten it

Edit 2:
I saw the post about the korbat avies above and just wanted to clarify a little.
You can only get one of the royal korbat avies, so choose wisely.
In order to get the male avie,

you must have your user gender set as female and look up afemale royal korbat.

In order to get the female avie,

you must have your user gender set as male and look up a male royal korbat.
Edit 3: More typos, clarifying a lil and adding another screenie so the list will remain intact.
Edit 4: Adding info on the cellblock avy being random once the above criteria are met.
