I tried changing pets and trying it again but to no avail. So I think you can only do it once. Brings up a question though, what happens if your useless crystal gets stolen by the pant devil, are you out of luck?

No, if it's stolen, or you discard it, go to the chef and he just hands you another one. Which to me just shows that it is important and not so useless.

Ah well that's good :)

Someone said earlier that maybe the crystal is a keycard, that would be interesting, maybe to unlock those inaccessible rooms in the su...(almost wrote suppository darn you elric:P ) repository.

Well there is a few different ideas going around...

1. Crystal is used to read over something, ie. the Tablet
2. Crystal is used as a keycard to access some area
3. theres more but i cant remember lol

my theory is when the crystal is placed over "something" the holes in the crystal when lined up correctly reveal a hidden message or the correct symbols we need or something....

I made a checklist to see if reading all the scrolls did anything, here's the "map" I made in case it comes in handy.

ALL ARE ON LEVEL 2 BY THE COOK.

Yeah unlike the ID , the chef doesn't move around..and now that I've said that, he'll suddenly disappear or something :P I'm pretty sure he won't move because he's behind a counter of sorts. ^_^

EDIT: wow Asparagus Queen that must have taken forever to do, thanks a bunch *shares bag of sweet and salty popcorn*

It didn't take too long, and I was chatting on my guild message board, so I didn't notice the time. ;) However, I do hope that it's the same locations for everyone unlike the temple! Can anyone confirm that it is the same?

They are different for everyone.

Darn, that's a pain. You'd think they'd be in the same spot since the scroll racks are all in the same spot. :(

I found some were different, some the same, coincidence I guess.

Secret Stairs

Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:26 pm

I probably missed the post, but in the quick skim through that I did I didn't see it so I'm mentioning it anyway just incase I've actually found something new...

The secret stairs on the 2nd 3rd and 4th floors are accessible from the 5th floor. You can go up and down until you eventually get dumped back out on the second floor at the main stairs.

Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:26 pm

Has anyone actually FOUND a scroll rack that matches with thier tablet? I wonder, since everybody's scroll racks are different, if we are all looking for a rack in the same position.

Sun Oct 23, 2005 9:31 pm

Has anyone managed to find all their scrolls: either the scrolls from their faerie statue or the 84 sybol/color scrolls? Any results?

I don't think the scroll size would make a difference since it would be unlikely that all 7 scroll size of a particular symbol/color would be so hard to find.

WOW! :D I actually suspected something like that, but didn't hear of anyone going up to the 5th floor yet. Thanks for saving my clickie hands!

EDIT: So they are not so much stairs anymore, kind of like a manual escalator. :P Why didn't the foreman install an elevator/lift for us?!

I still feel my point of the last split is correct - if you look at the 'hidden' stairs on the first floor you'll see they're in a closed room where there's only one set and nothing else in the room. Doesn't this suggest that these are the starting point and there's a way (my guess by getting food for the chef) for removing one of the walls into this room.
