You haven't quite missed nothing, BrunosisShale found this: http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/crystal.phtml .

In other news, no one's suggested this yet, so does anyone else think that we'll have to put the crystal on top of the tablet* and view the tablet through it?

Back by popular demand (domo arigato pipsqueeek-san), here are the last ten possible ending to the LDP! If you want more, I can probably make more, or you can do it yourselves.

91) While searching the library, Tomos finds something interesting. Tomos: 'Hey, Nabile. Check this out. It is called a computer. I'm at some "website" looking at a "forum". This guy "Sky" has a lot of funny posts. Also, this "Elric" person has done some pretty funny pictures that look like a guy we know.' Nabile: 'Looks like they are looking for something to do with a "useless crystal".' (Who watches the watchmen?)
92) Amira and Jazan raise their armies. They are ready to attack. Jazan raises a battle cry. Nothing happens. He turns. A sign reads: 'We're on break - Jazan's Army'. Jazan: 'Darn union.'
93) Same as 92, except with Amira's army.
94) Same as 30, except switch Jazan with Tomos.
95) Jazan and Tomos are having a massive sword fight. Tomos overpowers Jazan and lands a fatal blow. Tomos: *dances* 'Yay! I did it! I defeated Jazan!' Suddenly, the door to the room is kicked in. Two police officers hold Tomos at spear point. Officer: 'You're under arrest for murder. You have the right to remain silent...'
96) Tomos and Jazan are having a staredown. Amira and Nabile nervously watch from the sides. Jazan gives a huge belch. Girls: 'Ewww!' Tomos counters with a larger belch. The girls are completely disgusted and leave the room. Girls: 'Men are too disgusting!' Jazan: 'What did we do!' Tomos: 'Just be glad this wasn't a farting contest!'
97) Tomos and Jazan are having a staredown. Amira and Nabile nervously watch from the sides. Tomos gives a huge belch. Jazan counters with a larger belch. Tomos is shocked that he lost. Jazan: 'Ha, ha! The princess in all mine.' Amira: 'Geez, do I have to do everything myself?!' Amira gives a giant belch that causes the walls to shake and paint to peel. Amira: *storms out of the room* 'Men can never do anything right.'
98: Jazan and Tomos are facing down. They draw swords and charge. Suddebly, a digital version of 'Ode to Joy' is heard. Both stop. Jazan gets out a cellphone. Jazan: *check the caller ID* 'Great, the wife.' *Answers* 'Hi honey! ... what am I doing? I with my friends. ... But were doing something really important. ... No, I didn't forget. ... I'll get milk on the way home. ... But honey! ... Fine. ... I love you too.' *hangs up and sighs.* 'We'll have to do this some other time. I have to pick up the kids from soccer practice.' Jazan rush out of the palace.
99) Jazan and Tomos are going at it with swords. Amira and Nabile are watching from the sides. Jazan knocks Tomos away and raises his sword. Jazan: *swings* 'Backlash wave!' Jazan's sword hits the ground and nothing happens. Jazan: 'That always works for Inu Yasha.' Tomos: 'Wait a minute.' *Grins evily.* 'You're an otaku!' Jazan: 'Uh oh.' Tomos chases Jazan. Nabile and Amira catch Jazan. Tomos proceeds to give Jazan and atomic wedgey
100) Tomos and Jazan are having a massive sword battle. Jazan pins Tomos to the wall. Jazan casts a spell to destroy Tomos, but Tomos deflects the attack, and it hits Jazan. While Jazan is injured by his own spell, Tomos is able to fatally wound Jazan. Jazan lays dying. Jazan: 'A hundred ways for this to turn out, and you chose this one.'

I hope you like reading all of those. Thanks for the support.

Enjoy!

Take the order of the colors in the LC question. Then, take the 16 symbols from your tablet.
Read 16 scrolls in that order. (ie. red saf, blue lat, etc).

Has anyone tried that?

I've been trying to do this for hours, but there are 3 scrolls I need that I can't find!

This doesn't take into account the fact that the scrolls come in 5 shapes.

1: the one with the straight edge on top of seal
2: the one with the straight edge below seal
3: the skinny one
4: the one with the notch out of the top of the scroll
5: the other one (large with 4 notches)

I hope you like reading all of those. Thanks for the support. As a special gift, I leave you with this:

101) Tomos and Jazan are having a massive sword battle. It takes them through many rooms of the palace. They fight all the way out to platform over a volcano. They keep fighting on the platform. The volcano spews some lava that causes the platform to break off and fall in the lava flow. They climb up the platform as it sinks in the lava. Jazan gets ahold of a cable and swings around at Tomos. Tomos gets a cable and swings back. They lock blades and mid air and keep fighting. The platform nears a lava-fall. Tomos jumps to a floating stand before the platform falls. Jazan runs up the platform and leaps to a floating stand of his own. The fight continues as the stands fly across the lava flow. They reach shore. Tomos knocks Jazan back and jumps for shore. Tomos: 'You can not beat me. I have the high ground.' Jazan: 'I can do this!' Tomos: 'No!' Jazan tries jumping over Tomos, but get sliced down in the process. Tomos: 'Why Jazan! You were the chosen one!' Tomos takes Jazans sword and leaves. Jazan tries crawling away, but fails. Later, a space craft lands. Sloth and two of his robots come out. Sloth: 'Get a med evac.' Sloth takes Jazan back to his lair and rebuilds Jazan with his technology. Jazan even gets a scary mask to wear. Sloth: 'Arise, Lord Jazan.'

Okay! That was long. Thanks again.

Enjoy!

And I've searched 3 full floors now and there are still 3 that I can't find.

for those of you attempting to read all of the scrolls,

are the number of duplicates of each scroll type the same?

Well, if we take this as a literal prophecy, as you suggest:
1. I suppose it did start in the desert with Amira planning some type of celebration...
2. I don't know what is found in the rain. (Although there is a raining kadoties tcg in the lost desert set, the Card of the Day says, " this card is unrelated to our plot.")
3. As far as what to ask Coltzan that Amira wouldn't know about... well, that could be the betrothal, or it could be that she has a long lost sister :P (Nabile,) or it could be the prophecy. But, how do we ask Coltzan? It seems to me something would have happened at the shrine or there would have at least been a change in the source code. My first thought was of the MI plot, where we had to add " ?askabout=" to the end of the link for Jhudorah. But in that case, we knew what to ask from a clue found in the source code.
4. As for ending in the pyramid, well that could refer to the repository. I think that is a more likely assumption than the word pyramid game. It just doesn't seem very likly to me that this plot will come to a conclusion by playing a flash game. If the game did anything at all, at the most I would expect it to give a clue to lead us to something else. Of course, we all know the temple, and I suppose this part is telling us it won't end there. A hut? Could that refer to the furniture or fortune teller's tent? or is there a hut we haven't discovered that will be a step along the way?
5. Put them together... hmmm... well, I suppose we are missing the rain, asking Coltzan, and perhaps the hut, before we'll be able to do that. Next task - at the time of this LC, that was carrying sand, and it was definitely "in hand." But if you take the literal interpretation, this would mean that the task in hand will be found after the other links are put together...
6. And after we've done all this, Sakhmet will return.

While the LCs (any of the plot related ones) are definitly related to the plot, I just don't know if they are actual hints or clues to assist with plot solving. With TNT, anything is possible, so it's worth a little thought. :P

Thanks for giving me something to else to ponder during my break from reading scrolls and wandering aimlessly looking for secret passageways! :P

Edit: Just wanted to add that, Yes, I did solve that LC and am perfectly aware of the "other" answer to those lines. Just having a little fun pondering on another possible meaning. :P

Hmm, I couldn't give numbers but there are definately some which are MUCH rarer than others, for example I searched the entire 1st floor without finding a single red Fer (which was my temple scroll).

Sun Oct 23, 2005 6:31 am

Wow, I was out of the house for two days and missed a bunch.

A few things I've noticed about the scroll racks:
Not all colors are on every rack. Most of them have at least one but I've seen at least one that was lacking a color.
Not all the symbols are on every rack. Most are missing one or two symbols.

I haven't found any scroll racks with a single scroll (a green kar, for example) duplicated on the same rack.

This leads me to believe that there's not a simple cipher involved, although there might be a complex one. I would be more likely to suspect a playfair type cipher if the racks were 5 x 5 but they're 5 x 4.

Ian - I found a red fer at 21,32 on the first floor. Center of the third shelf.
*edit* and another one on the second floor at 23,11

Reading all the scrolls of one color has no immediate result. I've read all my oranges, greens and purples and nothing spectacular happened.

Sun Oct 23, 2005 7:27 am

Hi, all... While we're sifting the red herrings, I was wondering... Has anyone found a scroll rack that had all the scrolls that were behind the astral, river, and maze library doors? I know we already "used" those doors once and I noticed that each scroll rack has 15 scrolls so I don't think it's likely to mean anything, there'd be an extra 3 scrolls.

I love the possible futures for the plot, especially the Quantum Leap references (multiples, can't remember which ones), Jazan's phone ringing (98 ), number 99 for the atomic wedgie (that's gotta hurt), and a few others I can't remember for some reason, although they were funny (I'm definitely going to have to copy all these down. Although for some reason Tomos saying, over and over, "My name is Tomos (insert random last name here). You killed my father. Prepare to die!"

Hey, we've probably spoofed every other movie in these, might as well include The Princess Bride in there, just to add a bit of strangeness to the mix. But anyways, one of these days, i really gotta copy all these down into one file, just for posterity.

Sand eh? You next task's in hand. Has anyone got a handful of sand that they could hold in their inventory and go talk to coltzen? And yes, and handful of sand is a real item, I sold one in my shop last week.

No... Sand was the answer to the LC.
