I also remember sink, burrow and drain life were recommended as good abilities to have if you pet has the level for them.

Yeah, my Snowglobe Staff got melted on 1st try, and my Frost Cannon did nothing much either. I did find ironically that Supersize! actually works to buffer some of the Spirits blows, such that I was not knocked out on his first hit. After a dozen loses, weak pet and no sense of strategy, no patience on my part, and re-relalizing the futility of the "war" (in my opinion) I basically am giving up this part (waiting on more puzzles). ;)

OK, I can't stand the thought of someone who participated in all the other parts of this plot not getting one single point for this. What are your pets stats?

Edit: Taking this to PM.

I still have not seen any evidence that any points are being awarded for fightning these two opponents. Nor any evidence that the war has even started, nor anything to say that other, weaker opponents aren't coming along later. I would have thought that everyone would have an opportunity to participate in each phase of this plot, in the same way that BD fans had the ooportunity to help shifting furniture then surely the grafters of that phase will have an opportunity to get points from the fighting should they so choose?

Well, we didn't really get to see any evidence that the furniture moving and the other puzzles gave us some points either :) So my guess is that this is just another little piece of the plot. You can choose whether to participate in it or not, but according to what Donna said in that illustrious editorial, points should be rewarded for every little bit of time and effort you put into the plot...

I agree totally. How much more "evidence" does everyone need? TNT has already said that this plot would be different.

This is what I wrote on page 1:

TNT hasn't made any formal announcement for any other plot related clues/puzzles/tasks, they have left it all up to us to find out what to do next.

Here is a excerpt from an Editorial:
Basically rather than just having a war to decide who gets what, there will be many puzzles, many fights and some other challenges for you to do in order to earn points.

It states - many fights. I believe this means that the fighting and puzzles will work along side each other for this plot.

Also you can find this in the Battledome news:

Monday 17th October
There are monsters everywhere! A mean spirit that lives in the ruins and a two headed Scorchio called Scordrax burning down Sahkmet. Can you help?!? Will you fight?!?

And this is on the Front Page of the Battledome:

Sahkmet is under ATTACK!!!
Sakhmet is being burned down by the two headed Scorchio and the ruins have a spirit that isn't too friendly! Can you help them? If you are brave enough, go to the Battledome and fight!

TNT have given us enough encouragement to fight the challengers, so it seems this is the "war" - small battles rather than an all-out assault.

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto the neopets website??

Edit: It's ok now, was probably a problem on my end...a problem that only happened with neopets and lasted over an hour

I agree, my pets are in no way shape or form fighting pets. The most hp any of them has is 15. so.... i think i'll be waiting on more puzzles with you.

Tomorrow's news is up. No new chapter :-(

I love the regularity by which they are posting the news this week. I only wish there was a tidbit of plot material included!

31-40 w/ links back.

Since no one said no, here we go for esoteric-ism-ish.

41) Same as 40, except Hagan says, 'I already knew that.' He gives you a book and some NP for trying.
42) The war is leaning Jazan. Nabile finds the Nuria statue and starts guessing prophesies. She tries many guesses and gives up. Tomos: 'What's wrong?' Nabile: 'I've tried 41 guesses, but nothing.' Tomos: 'Try 42.' Suddenly, the statue comes to life. Nuria flies out. She saves Sakhmet and makes Jazan good again. She returns to the Temple to rest. Nabile: 'Wait. How did we free you?' Nuria: 'It was... the Answer.' (Not too much of a stretch for this guess).
43) It turns out that Amira is getting help! Garin is rushing to the LD in his ship, but a typhoon picks up! Garin's ship crashes on a mysterious island. A Peophin speaking French warns of Others...
44) Nabile heads to the library. Jazan tries forcing Amira to like him again... Your pet says, 'Whoa! okay! You're better than the Mystic. We get it.' and storms out of the fortune tellers tent.
45) The armies are raise. The battle is about to begin. Suddenly, there is an earthquake and snow starts falling. An Aisha takes a snowglobe from her kid's hands. Aisha: 'Stop playing around. You're late for your doctor's appointment.'
46) Final battle: Tomos vs Jazan! They have swords ready and rush at each other. Jazan trips on a rock. He falls and slides across the room. 'Cut!' is yelled. Jazan starts crying and runs off set. Director: 'Someone get the "great evil" a tissue.'
47) Nabile finds a spell to save the city. She and Tomos rush back to the city. On the way, a sudden cold snap turns the LD into a new Terror Mountain. In Sakhmet, Tomos asks Horace what happened. Turns out Amira said 'yes' and is going to marry Jazan.
48: Tomos and Nabile face down Jazan. Jazan: 'You can never defeat my evil!' Nabile: 'Oh yeah!' *gets out a wand* 'Kreludor Power, Go!' Nabile's clothes transform into sailor fuku. Nabile: 'Love and justice will conquer all!' Okay! This end here! Bad enough, a grown man does an accurate Sailor Moon reference.
49) Nabile and Tomos return with the spell, but Jazan is no longer around. Tomos questions Horace. Horace: 'Oh, him. He got bored and went to see the new Harry Potter movie.'
50) The fight between Tomos and Jazan rages! Tomos is about to defeat Jazan when 'Sky!' is heard being yell. The word 'Pause' appears on screen. 'Geez! Just a few more minutes! I have plenty of time before class.' *Checks the clock.* 'Oh no!' *Grabs his book bag and half finished homework and runs out the door.*

I hope you liked these. Fifty down and fifty to go before you guys gang up and lynch me.

Enjoy!

Hmm...the way the news has been coming out early...could it be a clue?!

What if the other dimension Sahkmet was in is the dimension of THE FUTURE?! Sahkmet could be trapped one day in the future!

Can you tell that I'm suffering from material-deprivation? :(

Fri Oct 21, 2005 3:51 am

New editorial quote:
Well, hopefully someone will figure out this mess and get Sakhmet back to normal so those Kadoaties can be fed.

As bad as I'd love to figure out this mess and get Sakhmet back to normal, those kads offer me very little motivation.
*grumbles about dadgum beggin kitties*

Now, lets begin the debate as to whether or not that means there is something to figure out at this point. :P

Actually, 'the future dimension' would just be one where 'time' flows 'faster' than in this reality. That is not too far fetched since time is the only linear aspect of space-time. (X, Y, and Z are all planer). Make time planer and one of the other dimensions linear and you're ready for fun. Or make time planer as well as other know dimensions, make a new dimension linear, and we're ready for some fun!
