By what i heard and read, the random event scrolls are readable, but they have nothing to do with the plot.

I tend to think so too. If there is a war, I am not so sure I want to be on the side of a spoiled Princess that doesn't care about her people much.

I am hoping that we must just reverse the curse, unite true love in some form (I still question if maybe the curse is that Amira forgot her love for Jazan; what are the details on this Forgotton Promise?) and also hoping that TNT will reveal a new land (where Word Pyramid apparently resides, as it is not in the Lost Desert and it is clearly not "disappeared"). ;)

So, YOU're NOT reading it.

Hmm, I take your point and think I mis-worded mine  Clearly it is you who is picking up the scroll and there is no way you can actually read the scroll (as you would a book bought from a Neoshop) but you must be 'reading' the scroll for the two reasons I stated in my last post. No-one knows the affect of 'reading' the wrong scrolls but picking up the correct did have an affect and so you must have read it (even though there is no way to see what it contains).

Yep, we do have proof, cause in an editorial quite a while ago, Donna said there would be many ways to earn points in this plot, one of them being by fighting in the battledome...

As for choosing sides (if necessary), I'd probably choose Amira's side. Okay, she might seem a bit picky and pampered, but I think she really wants the best for her people. She doesn't just want to surrender to Jazan and dive into the unknown. Maybe, if she knew about the curse, she'd act completely differently... And also, I wouldn't really be fighting against the zombies, I'd choose not to fight Amira's guards and give Amira's librarians the time to find a solution to make the curse undone.

According to suggestions I've seen elsewhere this war will be unlike the last in that we won't be picking sides, It'll be an us against them (the zombies etc).

I don't know about reading ALL the scrolls, but did anyone else notice that 4 of them appear to be "royal" or at least different from the others, almost like the one that Jazan holds in the comic (the Forgotton Promise?)

Perhaps we only need to read those 4 (or the right one, I don't know; goodness this is frustrating -- lol)? The spinning one near the Fortune Teller still bothers the heck out of me.

Seriously, is this where wars are fought? But the Battledome is might boring to me, ironically.

I'd rather be on Jazan's side. My Nimmo rather liked all the hard work. At least he had us productively making and moving furniture. :P Amira does nothing for me.

My guess is that this is a very nice red herring... I supposed they saw that we had noticed the sketches in the original fortune tellers message, so they removed them and put something a bit more 'mysterious' there to make us break our heads... But well, that's just my thought though, they might just do something with it further on, who knows, you're never sure when it comes to TNT and plots :)

Yep, this is where the fighting happens, the regular opponents disappear and you get the special war challengers during the plot. Most of the times you have to beat them as many times as possible until they get to hard for you. They also release new waves every now and then, so more opponents get available then and they're always a bit harder than the last wave. The final opponent tends to be one enemy with a lot of hitpoints and a lot of power, so everyone does cummulative damage to him until he finally reaches zero hitpoints (although you can't see the progress, probably to prevent someone from waiting 'till he has only 1 hitpoint left to steal the kill)

How do we SEE the spinning one? I haven't managed to find a way yet! I know there's a bunch of things there.....but I can't get to it!

I *think* i once saw it, but.. there's nothing there on my picture of the FT

As someone told me earlier on in the thread (errr, one of the threads...)

Open http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/fortune_teller.swf in a new browser (this is the fortune teller image without the webpage around it) and then make the window really small so the picture shrinks...then stretch it out sideways so you can see what's on the sides.

I see, now i know what you've all been talking about lol. Is the one next to her different for everyone?

Uhmm... You wouldn't know which library door to find the scroll matching your statue's symbol behind without the descriptions of those scrolls. And you wouldn't have a clue what phrase would get you past the guards to get into the repository without the titles of those scrolls. Unless, of course, you just checked a list somewhere. :P

Donna, I have seen some people have Tyrannian army points, will you be having a Lost Desert army in this plot and if so, how will you get the points? - Lozandboo
This plot we are doing something different, you will not be able to choose sides, but you will earn points that can be redeemed for great prizes. One way will be through fighting, but that is just one of many...

I think everyone gets the chicken.

How PPTish of the TNT.

 Brilliantly well said!!

On the scrolls:

Er... yes, these scrolls for the first "plot". Okay, first of all, what are these "scrolls" going to be called? Second of all, will you be able to "sell" them? Third, I don't know what price they will go for one of these "scrolls". Fourth, the other plots had their parts shown out loud. Why isn't the Lost Desert plot going to show theirs in public? Fifth, how will it go and will it include the battledome still and that supporters thing? Sixth, have you ever considered of having three sides battling each other? In the last plot, it would have been okay to do: "Captain Scarblade vs. Garin vs. Maraqua"... right? Finally, (sorry to make you read this entire message everyone!) once you read them, will they vanish? Because if you're aiming to sell them once you read them... then, it's like take one and pass it on, without losing any neopoints. I will be participating, and mine is this long because it's all over my mind. Thanks for reading, and please answer back. - Mattextra3
Wow, thats a lot of questions. Firstly the first part of the plot (the first comic) will go live next week. You will be able to see every part of the story as they go live, the same way they last two plots worked.

The scrolls are part of something special we are doing with this plot. Basically rather than just having a war to decide who gets what, there will be many puzzles, many fights and some other challenges for you to do in order to earn points. The scrolls may be used in that, just as a hint, if you see one, hold on to it. I can't tell you more than that as I have already given away a lot :) Just keep checking new features.
