I agree..if that is the case then Hilarity would ensue...but I just can't see TNT letting what would then be basicly what amounts to "War points" being sold on the Shop Wizard...not that I am complaining as I am pretty sure I have all of the sand that was coerning the Northern Face of the pyramid...

That would be pretty funny, shutdown. I'm glad I didn't put my sand into my shop. I'll hang onto it a little longer.

Whew! I'm back after a couple of days without power due to the latest hurricane. It seems I didn't miss too much, other than a few handfuls of sand. Never thought I'd actually be grateful for all the wait time in this plot. :)

I was last here for the discovery of the gift shop. Could a mod please, please add the gift shop to the first post? I've just finished speed-reading through the splits from when I left till now and people keep announcing it over and over.

I didn't notice anything new in the posts since then, other than the debates about whether or not sand removal is time based or hit based, and whether or not we will be rewarded based on how much sand we collected.

My tiny opinion is that the "rewards" found while digging sand are most likely the only reward we will get for it. Similar to the fruit machine - you can't win if you don't dig and most of the time you'll get nothing (except sand), but you might luck up and hit the big pay out (LDPB.) As far as whether or not it's hit based, I first thought it very similar to the Tombola guy running out of nps and asking for donations. But, if that were the case, wouldn't it mean the release of the next clue or comic would depend entirely upon how much sand and stones we remove, and how fast?

I found the posts about the items being found on certain seconds after the minute very interesting. I don't suppose anyone who has gotten a LDPB knows what second they refreshed on? Has anyone else tried testing that theory, by digging at 10 seconds after or whatever?

I'm thinking we won't be rewarded by how many piles of sand we have in our possession (as some people are just buying it up), but rather how many times we visited the pyramid to "dig." I think this was mentioned earlier on the boards, but I'm not sure by whom. :)

:( I need to start mapping again as I haven't found the correct room yet (for my second clue). Ah well, don't think there are many more rooms for me to find!

I can remember reading somewhere, I think it was the editorial section, TNT saying there was going to be several ways to make points this time. I think you will get a point everytime you dug at the repository, maybe the sand will come into something else later, but I hope it isn't based on how much sand you have in your SDB/ inventory, because that won't be fair on the people like us going back to dig every 3 hours or however long everyone else is waiting.

Actually the Gift Shop (of One-Thousand Trinkets) is listed and linked in the first post (after the link to the repository no less) :)

Something weird uii've just noticed, dunno if it's my computer or nor, When you view Handful of sand in the SDB it doesn't come down with a drop down menu to remove a certain number ofthem, it's just a Type in box o0 k now it'll have not much to do with the plot just something weird I noticed

:o My apologies - it took me a solid minute to find it, even after I read this post! I was looking at the bottom, as it seems the place to check for new info. I hadn't read the first part of the post in ages. Sorry!

There's been weapons that have a movement requirement for a while now.

Really? I'm guessing that they're more expensive and rare items meant to be used by serious BDers?

I do wish we could return faster. If I'd known, I'd have worked on agility, too, not just strength, defence, and endurance.

LDP agility

Since my pet "move" says "mach1", I was going to ask where you find the number for your agility level, but my son came along and showed me that you look at Status in the Mystery Island Training School (I've only been there once before). I just thought I'd post this in case there are any other beginners like me who didn't know where to look. So mach1 is only 17. Not very good, eh? No wonder I have to wait 3 hours to dig sand.

I just had my best dig so far:

Something has happened!
You find a mystical codestone on the floor!

Scroll Repository
You carry a handful of sand away from the scroll repository.

While excavating the handful of sand, you also found something else!
Sandy Sandwich

Wow, they sure built the repository way out in the middle of nowhere!
It's going to take you a while to carry the sand back to civilization.

I agree that if there's any reward for collecting piles of sand, they will reward us by how many times we actually went out to the place and dug, not how many piles of sand we've collected (simply because they know people could buy a bunch of them if they wanted). Remember, those war tokens from the last plot -- the ones that gave you extra points -- were not sellable.
