This is my first plot, so I am just wondering about the whole "waiting" dynamic. Is it typical of those plots?

And what's the reasoning behind it? (I'm guessing it has something to do with levelling the playing field between people who have fast connections/all day to play with, and those who don't???)

Nope, I'm still hurrying.... Are you thinking perhaps it will change when I do get back?

I would have to say it's not typical of the plots I've participated in. And yes, we are thinking it's to level the playing field for the reasons you mention as well as different time zones and work / school schedules.

In case someone's wondering, you get this message if you go back to the repository too soon:

Your pet is still hurrying back to civilization with a handful of sand.
It's going to be a little while before you can get back to the scroll repository!

So I tried changing my active pet, that doesn't work. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, it's moving so fast all of a sudden!

Hi - I know I'm a little behind in the plot, I'm trying to catch up! Is there a way to narrow down where your Statue is going to be?

There are about 12 rooms in your temple that have the right door shape and color combination in relation to your riddle. It's all a matter of elimination.

With the MI plot there was the waiting dynamic at the beginnig so everyone had time to catch up on it, but towards the end everything was up and solvable so it was a matter of finding what was going on quickly.

Yep. It will probably take either 12 hours, or until 12 AM NST, thats my theory.

But the waiting is really bad this time.

I messed up my secudal, e.g. woke of early, went to bed late, didnt do something I couldve done, to make sure I finished my tablet ASAP. It turns out I couldve done two tablet pecie a day and still caught up with everyone else. Sure give everything id say 2 days to allow everyone to work on it, but it shoudlnt be more than that :)

Well, I hope you are right! :) I have a hurricane heading my way (again) and they have rescheduled our homecoming activities for tonight instead of tomorrow. So, I'll have to be leaving soon and will count on your theory to keep me from feeling like I'm missing out! :P

How do you know when your pet gets back to civilization?

Edit: Nevermind. I guess we just keep refreshing on that page.

I have my "pile of sand".

Hmmm I wonder how many piles we need. Do we have to go back in every half hour till we say a certain amount of sand?

*wonders what is next*

I think there's just a certain amount of sand that needs to be moved, so the more people get sand, the faster it'll go. That seems logical anyways.

I Just thought of something,

This could be totally irrelevant, but I thought Id mention it.

When I was completing my tablet there was a certain fragment that Donny couldnt fix, so he gave me a "Bottle of Purple SAND"

I wonder if it corresponds to the piece of my tablet that matches the Symbol on the statue ( phrase for repository) I wish I could remember which piece it was.

Did anyone else get Sand from Donny,

Was just a thought...

SS:)

EDIT: When I can go back into the repository Ill go there with purple sand in my inventory...LOL

Nope, he gave me some kind of toy. It's just what the old fart does if he messes up.

Nope, no sand for me... only a pile of sludge and I think a book, so I think the only thing there's to do right now is to wait till there's enough sand moved for us to get into that repository!

Wow, my pet is still hurrying with his little handful of sand xD I wonder if it is quite a long time we will have to wait.

Imagine if later you have to deposit all your sand somewhere and are rewarded for how much you collected - I'd kick myself for selling it if that were the case! As it is, few people are selling their sand but no one that was selling it earlier has managed to sell it, so I wouldn't worry about missing out on making a profit :)

Yes, I thought about that,

Could be like having to have all the codestones to get the Avatar, maybe a certain number of piles of sand are needed in the inventory as well.

*waits patiently to re enter repository* LOL
