If you look at the source code for the fortune teller, theres this url
http://images.neopets.com/desert/ldp/fortune_teller.swf
there's a spinning scroll, on the side, you may have to reduce the size vertically, so see it.
Any ideas on whether its a clue or not, have you alreasy spotted it??

Weird question. I'm on Linux, and can't download the new Flash plugin unless I get Linspire Five-O. Do I need Flash to get half of this stuff, or can I still go to the tombs and not know what I'm doing and be fine?
In other words...do I need the new Flash plugin in get this plot, or not?

I agree that it could be made more obvious on the front page - or perhaps in the title that the front page has all the info.
Agreed - don't flame members just because they didn't read the first post.
Et Voila

iuberwalrus wrote:Ok, seeing the above topic about the .swf file, I decided to try a few things.
The first thing I noticed was that we obviousley couldnt see the scroll on the fortune tellers actual page, and I figured this was because they neopets page used a different .swf file. So I found the one neopets used by copying and pasting the source into the Geocities HTML editor and then did trial and error, and I found that the scroll IS there spinning. We just can't see it.
So here's my thought:
I'm thinking that something you do triggers the flash file to move the scroll over into the crystal ball, as after a simple look - you would know it fits perfectly.
Then I pondered this idea and I realized that there must be more than just the "chick" scroll. So here's my theory altogether:
1) Later on in the plot (or perhaps something we still need to do), the chick scroll will move to the middle of the orb and we will see it spinning there. It's at this time we will need to go find the scroll and come back.
2) After we've done that, the chick scroll will go back to where we can't see it, and a scroll that was hiding behind the chick scroll (spinning simultaneously) will appear, at which team we need to find THAT one.
3) We will go through all the scrolls and need to visit the library each time to get them!
Note: I tried removing the Neopets bar, but the scroll is spinning off screen, so I still couldn't see it... but I know it's there.

You can see the scroll on the actual page (It's been like 20 splits since we went through this, that's why you didn't know), what you do is hit the 'restore down button' (middle button, upper right of browser window) and widen your browser window, the scroll can be seen far to the left of the page.
