Edna, it varies way too much from person to person.
My friend took 3 quests, I've done over 500 without a result.

Cellblock, again, it varies way too much. I'm on tourney 18, which requires skill to get there. The people who can follow a guide up to 6, then get the avatar. That annoys me. And when I display my avatar, it shows no difference in skill.
I think avatars like that should be fixed, say, when you view a gold Cellblock trophy, or your 100th Edna quest, or something like that.
I got this on the first try, and am happy for that.
Words of wisdom! I hand it to you. You took the word out of my mouth!!! Exactly what i wanted to say. Getting avatars are becoming more of Luck than Skill so i beats the purpose of getting them since it is more like winning them

XD I already have that avatar, but that was funny.
I still say the cheaper the worse chance you have to scoring 60 second or less. More expensive does have better control.

I've used the Quadruple Fudge Cheese and won 5 of 6 times and still no avatar.
I agree with Pixa. I have battled several times to get the battlefearie av refreshed for an hour and nothing, been bit so many times by the snowager my poor pet is about eaten away and nothing, played so many games of hide and seek its just not funny, done tons of Edna quests with no avatars, and am way up there on cellblock with yet again nothing. I hate random avatars!!!!

Finally managed to get this avatar, it was my 200th 
I waited to play Cheeseroller before running off to get the Pirate Poogle avatar because I didn't want a clickable as my 200th avatar *dances away*
