I just wanted to say hi ... and thank you again to everyone here ...
I have been trying to follow ... but am getting ready to move ...
so my time online is limited right now :(
I have partially mapped my temple ... found 2 of my librarys and my statue ... but only have added 1 piece to my tablet so far ... I have yet to find my 2nd door .... I hope I can catch up somehow .... but I dont have much time ...

Hello All. Thanks to this thread I am all caught up. I don't know if this means anything but I got this random event yesterday:

Random Event
Grarrl the Battle Master stomps past you muttering something about war.

There is a Grarrl shop keeper in the Desert plot. He's the one the urchins keep stealing from (Horace, Tomos, and Nabile). I did find him in the battledome but my pet is weak. Can someone with a strong pet go fight him and see if anything happens.

Also, in Chapter 4 of the plot the urchins are eating ummagines and saying how good they are. I think I'll go eat one. Doubt if it does anything but I'm bored at this point.

Sure wish neo would release something soon

What's the character's name? (The Grarrl)

I'm not sure if I did or not since I was fumbling around with no clue of what was going on. Now I'm not sure if I still need to find it or not once I get my tablet completed. Anyone have any idea on this?

You don't need to find the statue before finding tablet pieces. Whether or not to find the statue and try to understand a scoll after filling your tablet is up to you, as we don't really know what it does yet.

I've mapped my entire tomb, completed my tablet, and found my statue (in that order). I haven't read any scrolls.

The Grarrl is from the Tyranian war, one of the first plots on Neopets, and the first war they ever did (I think).

Coincidence

Wed Sep 14, 2005 5:27 pm

I noticed something the other day when I found my faerie statue. My riddle was "banks of the mighty river, window into the soul" so that's a green oval, and the symbol above the statue door was an Eye (window into the soul) just wondering if it means anything or if it was just dumb luck.

Also I was wondering how many unpaired symbols you have on your tablet, right now I have four and one tablet piece to collect still.
Edit: Got the last piece and now have only 3 unpaired symbols.

One other thing, my temple has 87 sets or rooms, with no duplicates, seems like thats more than most people are finding.

Complete randomness. My buddy had 87 sets as well, so you're not alone.

It's only related to the number of corridors and blanks you have. The number of doors is the same for everyone. I have 86 halls myself.

In the plot story they haven't given his name. In the random event it just says Battle Master. I looked in the battledrome and there is a Robo Grarrl with 150 difficulty and a Grarrg with 100 difficulty.

Just a hunch. Someone said the Grarrl was in a different war so it's probably nothing.

So I was looking at what the fortune teller says now that my tablet is filled:

"You've found all the tablet pieces! Remarkable!" The fortune teller gazes into her crystal ball for a moment. "But what does it mean? These glyphs and their order mean nothing to me. I'm a fortune teller, not a professor of ancient languages! We must find some way to translate them. You can look at the Mysterious Tablet again if you like.

I noticed the mention of a professor and did a search, I found this (TCG) card:
http://www.neopets.com/search.phtml?sel ... Chesterpot
Professor Chesterpot

This legendary adventurer found the location of Maraqua, the lost Battledome and pretty much everything else that was worth discovering

Just a thought...

There is also talk that it could be Megan (TCG) as she will be featured in the upcoming plot/war

Just logged on a while ago and got caught up on the posts. It's a good thing that part four of the plot is up however it's weird that a new part of our mission hasn't been released yet.

Regarding the "hacker," I find it unlikely that someone did actually hack the site because as I think we all know, placing content in your shop and user lookup is not considered hacking.

I don't like it when people bring in the term "hacker" because it generally gives the person being called hacker way, waaaaaaaaaaaay too much credit.

On a side note, it seems Neopets moved to the top as well as changed a bit the message we get on the tablet page when the tablet has been completed.

Mysterious Tablet wrote:All of the tablet's missing pieces have been found! But what does the message mean?

Not sure if this means anything... well, I'm pretty sure that it doesn't; but I thought I would bring this to our collective attention just incase.

The person in question found an exploit in the Neopets security system. He used that exploit in order to take advantage of others. I'd imagine it would be a very difficult task to find an exploit within Neopets... he did it. And now he's using it.

What else would you call it? *shrug*

Again, just to stress, be careful when going anywhere on the site that involves another person. Games, dailies, etc. I would imagine to be safe, but lookups/shops/etc. are the general hotspots.

Thats odd. I looked at the scroll concerning the symbol on my statue and I didn't understand it. It was still 'gains a little insight'.
