It's my mommy's birthday, so later tonight we'll be having cake, presents, and fireworks at home like we always do. :)

That's cool, if you had a Fourth of July birthday, it'd be like the fireworks and celebration are just for you. :)

And like a whole country was celebrating your birthday.. actually if they were that might be a little scary.

I watched fireworks last night. They went on for 26 minutes. And it was easier to get out from there then it is at the Naval Academy.

Ooh I wish I could've gone to that game spacecase33! The Os and Phillies are two of my favorite teams. Did the fireworks distract the players?

The fireworks weren't too close to the stadium, so I don't think they were too distracting. There were some down by Penn's Landing and some across the river in south Jersey. We could see them because we were on the third level of the stadium. They are my two favorite teams too, so I always try to see them play- yay for interleague!

It was yesterday for me...but all I did was hang around at home, calling friends, etc.

Since I live in Australia, it's really no big thing for me.

Ah yes, nothing says "celebrating our freedom" quite like blowing stuff up...

And when you finish with the fireworks you can always watch CNN :D

I tire of your smart remarks,Canadian boy. :D

Xerai, sorry, but its not "just another Sunday". I think you'd be upset if we were not free.

We went to watch a firework show over the lake. It was really nice. About half way through we saw all these police cars go by, a few fire trucks, and a couple of ambulances. Apparently a few people were severely injured in the audience. So the show was postponed and it may have been canceled, I'm not sure because we left. So the first part was fun. :) I hope those people are ok. Not really sure on what happened. o_O

Edit: 17 people or so were injured and a person got their leg blown off! Heard it on the news. That's just awful. :(

And I tire at your constant, incredible lack of cynicism. I will change that eventually. :D

To be honest, i doubt Paul would care if you weren't free.

Went over to King's Island for the fireworks show they have been advertising like crazy. It wasn't any good. They charged $9 for parking, so everyone just parked at the movie theatre and restaurants across the street.
