has anyone actually gotten the actual physical scrolls. not from the library. from scratchcards or res. if so did you read them to your pet. maybe they have to be read like a book and then a re happens that "oh, you see a peice of tablet under the scroll seal. wonder what that does." then you take it to the tablet and it fits in. maybe thats it and thats why nothing seems to be working. and the reason we are reading those library scrolls is to gain knowledge to translate the finished tablet.

The symbol on the statues is another story though. I believe it is the symbol of the scroll you must read to her.

Do you mean the actual item scroll's description?I meant that a certain scroll may be the key to the staue as if you read the scroll then get the prophecy from it.

The color could possibly be the effect of trial and error while you only know which symbol corresponds.

What do you mean by this?i mean that getting the right scroll could possibly be trial and error. The color of what?the color of the seal on the scroll[/quote

I speak in babble sorry. I was just stating that the entire plot may end up being trial and error. So far that is the only method that has led us anywhere at all.

Ahhh... I see.. I think...

I know of 3 found scrolls. From random events. There is one screenie of the RE and it has a ben scroll on it. The descriptions of the actual scrolls sound like riddles leading to locations. As far as I know, nobody has read one to a pet.

The scroll's symbol seals are a set color, like ben, ra and kha are always yellow, djo and tep are blue, etc.

I've mapped out my whole temple.. I have 83 sets of rooms. I counted every kind of colour and I got 48 of each (12 symbols * 4 shapes).. meaning I didn't miss/recount any out of carelessness (I hope).

I have one blank slab though.. I wonder if anything will appear there if we actually did something we are supposed to do?

Meanwhile.. read one scroll(from river room) and tested 3 red rectangular doors so far but all ended up in traps. My riddle is "The waking dawn on the dunes; A humble portal of stone"

Looks like reading the scrolls doesn't seem to do anything for now?

i wonder what one means when one says 'sets' ..does it mean 83 different rows of rooms ??

*looks for the bashing head against brick wall icon*

i'm at set 5

Someone on the neoboards has noticed an interesting connection between the actual item scroll's descriptions and the library doors.
http://www.neopets.com/neoboards/topic. ... c=70516852

ra's description: Here you can look ages into the past
correlates to the timeline door (dot to dot)

nem's description: Here you might never be heard from again
correlates to the maze door

kar's description: Here you can take a cool drink
correlates to the river door

Maybe you have to choose the correct scroll from the correct library?

Azzie, I think he meant sets of doors (meaning rooms.) So, stop bashing your head!! :P

oh ok..thanks.

btw, do some of the doorways link back to other doorways, i know they go back to previous ones but i'm not sure if some doorways actually have links to other ones.

Yay! I've also found Nuria using the clues.

The waking dawn on the dunes, The aspect of a star. I went through a red pentagonal door with a fish above it and the symbol on the stature is the eye. I haven't finished mapping mine yet, but I group mine by "rooms" of 5 doorways/corridors/empty spaces and then by rows. By rows I mean using the arrows and going all the way to the left, then counting how many "rooms" I get using the arrows before I can't go any farther. I have 28 sets of rooms so far.

I said" Soon he will be a king, with a beautfiul queen at his side." and got booted.

Devilfish wrote:On the banner on the plot page (the one with the flash comic) it reads: "A thriving city sta" after which it gets cut off.
On the first page of the comic there's a sentence: "... in the heart of the lost desert stands the magnificent city of Sahkmet, a thriving town in an ancient and timeless land"

It's been suggested that the prophecy has nothing to do with RE or the library, so I thought this might be a clue. That the prophecy could be something like: "A thriving city stands in an ancient and timeless land" or something.

Just guessing though...

Haven't found my statue yet, so I can't try this out

I tried it for you Devil as I liked your theory however it was unsuccessful and I was booted. *ah well*

Yet another wild theory of mine: is it possible that you have to tell the staute the symbols on your tablet in order?
This would make the answer:
1. different for everyone
2. nearly impossible to give if you don't have a (nearly) full tablet
Whaddya think?

You tentatively step forward and take one of the scrolls.

Your pet understands the scroll and gains a little insight.
Then a trap door opens under your feet and you find yourselves thrown out of the temple onto the desert sands.

Before I visited the statue is was just "reads the scroll". Wonder if it means anything special.[/b]

Could be. I like this theory.
Can anyone tell me where to get the correct names for the symbols? Also, thanks for testing out my theory!

maraqua.net has a guide.

I've mapped 43 rooms/sets...meaning I'm halfway done :) Perfect thing to do when you have no classes :P

ok, so i've been mapping and when I get so far I go through a door and its a room I had before. is this a completely new room or has it taken me back to the previous room? did that make sense?

In each room there is one door that takes you back to the room you came from. For some rooms there are 2 doors that lead into it, meaning that (I think) there are 2 doors that lead you back to those rooms. Dunno if that helps.
