The Maraquan Grundo resembles a goldfish, but just barely. They should have modelled it after a Pearlscale or Lionhead goldfish and gone all the way like for the Lupes, Shoyrus and Grarrls.

Actually Alpacas and Llamas make pretty good guards for sheep. They are pretty brave and will stand up to a wolf. They are taller and can see farther than a sheep can and once they are buddies the sheep learn to respand to there alerts. The sheep herder had a few of these pet pets around, I bet Baltizar wouldn't be getting his baabas.
(If anyone wants to make up a cute little story about this for the times, I don't mind. )

Does the Vacana remind anyone else of that sheep dog from Looney Toons that could never see, but somehow managed to protect the sheep from Wile E. Coyote?

Yeah, that came to my mind too. Even the expression reminded me of it.

Now these are very Mutant if you ask me. They are nice indeed. The meepit almost doesn't look like a Mutant Meepit. You can tell the Camel and Kookith just enough to know what they are.
