This is a really awesome idea actually!

If I had the spare NP around, I'd join in, but I've wasted most of it on training.

Does it have to be in NPs? Can it be in another form...say, graphics?
(I meant prizes :P)

I just put a cap on NP to be fair to those who don't have uber-amounts. Prizes and subjects can be anything you wish!

That seems a bit unfair to your partisipants. If you were to win one or more of the categories given your advantage, you're only going to give out 75% or less of the promised prizes (unless you make some sacrifice and give it to the runners up that's going to be changed in your rules "by whim".) Point being, it's for the contestants and not you to be a part of it besides being the host.

Another question, why exactly do you have a NP cap on prizes given out? If they choose to give out more, they should be able to (as we don't have any restrictions.)

Because if one person was giving out 800k in prizes, more people would enter their set contest than others.

But they are only going to win 25k, so anything they are offering in their contest above that is a loss. I don't see why it matters how much they give out because it's not like they are winning more. O.o It's actually, the more your contest is for, the more you lose compared to someone that has a small contest and wins 25k to cover it.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think the point may be to entice entrants with nice topics to choose from and capture set makers imaginations, not the prize money.

Hmm...well now, I was aiming more for Twinkle's point, but Jas has a good thought too...

*grumbles* Eh, who cares, I can't do this anyways, I already have a set contest.
