Quite an interesting one for a few reasons.
Regarding the Lost City of Gerapitku:
I was looking at the new Mystery Island Map, (looks great!) and I noticed that it has a Lost City of Gerapitku. Well, I was wondering what it was? - Mckaykay_2004
The Lost City of Geraptiku was once a thriving civilisation, home to many rare Petpets and full of rich treasures. One day something very spooky happened to the city, nobody knows why, but everybody just vanished and the city was left as an eerie ghost town. Many adventurers have tried to discover the secret of the lost city, but very few make it back alive. Rumour has it, this *may* be a new mini-world very soon...
Oooh, sounds exciting

Regarding the april fools pet:
Have picked the new neopet from the April Fool's neopets yet ? I WANT TO KNOW WHITCH ONE IT IS ! - Curse_in_you
We have, but we have to wait for the powers that be to say it is ok for us to announce it and make it live.. Sorry, as soon as we can let you know, we will.
Hmph :|
For gelert lovers:
Will there be any Gelerts in the Lost Desert plot? Because I have noticed Gelerts are not really active on Neopets! - Jedi4502
Gelerts will not be the main stars in the next plot, but there is a very cool Gelert who stars in the PS2 game and will feature in the Darkest Faerie plot we will be running on the site.
And a big round of applause for one of the most stupid solutions ever...
Why is the Marafin listed as a Maraquan Supporter prize twice? Because of that, Maraquan Supporters only have 9 different prizes to choose from while everybody else has 10. - finnigan_blue
Oops. This was a mistake and should be fixed now.
Yes it is fixed now, another prize is available. And how many people exactly do they think still have their war points left over? I feel so sorry for the supporters who missed out because of this =(

The person who asked about the Marafin is me. finnigan_blue is one of my side accounts. It's the second question I've had answered within the last month.
You can neomail me any time you want Pwn4g3 Man, I always reply.
Oh, and I don't have enough points left to get the new prize either.

If they created a system where you could return your war prizes for war points, people who actually bought hoards of keychains would just keep them and sell em off. with this, people could actually buy the gallion toy thing. if there was only a way to put a code into the war prize item IDs, and it knew if you got it from redeeming points or buying it. then you could only return YOUR originally bought items for points. i'm not even sure i'm making sense as i type this, but i truly wonder if TNT is going to make it possible for people to get the gallion toy, or ignore it completely.

call me crazy... cause I am... but ... in the one answer they talk about "the powers that be"... is that from something else besides Foamy the Squirrel or does TNT have a lil cartoon fav?
Fri Jul 08, 2005 11:48 pm
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I believe.

I have no idea what a foamy squirrel is, sounds chalk full of rabies, but "the powers that be" is a very old and commonly used expression. The powers it refers to depends on the context, but here it probably means the Dohring and his cronies or whoever's actually in charge of major site changes.
The war prize question isn't surprsing considering Donna's proven herself to be an idiot many times over, or at least someone's been forcing her to give ignorant imbecilic answers. Remember when she said she herself was dissappointed with HatIC prizes being awarded to such a ahem...broad spectrum of players when it was entirely preventable by her in the first place?
Fun times.
Oh, and I've had one question answered in the editorial. IT was about releasing more koi on koi day and because of the timing of the editorial's release and Donna's or whoevers misinformation, I got a lot of hate mail politely informing me that I was "OMG!!! R so DUM!"

you dont wanna know
Powers that be is a common saying, ive used it myself for some years.
(the powers that be have it in for me, being a common expression of mine)

Great, after everyone has spent their points, Then they release a new item... it's going to be really expensive... that maraquan gallion toy

I'm predicting maybe only 50 or so ever going to be redeemed...

Foamy is the "lord and master" XD It's a web cartoon. I watch it from time to time, very funny. He lacks rabies, sadly.
That pull-a-long will be expensive. I'm sure supporters are gonna complain.

*lol* I knew TNT was going to do something like that for the rogue supporter prize. I only had 155 points, so even though I had kept them I still couldn't get it. It just didn't make any sense for the marafin to be listed in that spot.
*le sigh* Wish I could have gotten it, it's actually kinda cool looking. Even if it was released on time, I would have preferred that to two neggs.

no no no!
Squirrely wrath!
sorry.
back to the topic.
kinda sucks that this happens, but then, given the general sucky nature of the war (ten. points.

) im not all suprised.

Too bad no one will ever get that Maraquan Gallion pull toy, it's adorable.
I was sort of taken aback by the Gelert question. Cause, yeah, it's not like a Gelert was one of the protagonists of the Ice Caves plot or anything...

I was kind of hoping for some rukis to be stars. I have yet to see a ruki as a main character.

Well, they are *less* than a year old, but it would have been perfect to stick a Ruki in this upcoming plot.

With the exception of the Bori in the Hannah plot, I think they're sticking to the more stated pets as leads for now (with newer pets like the Yurble and Ruki likely have to take a backseat with minor roles for a while.) Rukis would have been perfect for bigger roles since they revolve aroundthe Lost Desert.
