The Red Acara never really was that red to start off with. Just like the Red Kourga it's a off shoot of red, either way either pet wouldn't look good in the standard red

I /love/ the Acara! Its much better then it was before. Good job TNT 
As for the Mutant Bruce, eh, not one of my favorites. It kinda scares me..
..and I agree on the Darigan Acara. I thought it was mutant when I first looked at it.. then I right clicked it. Its very good.. but not Darigany.

Bleh. The sad pose looks to be made of cheap plastic and is melting in the sun. The other has this huge black line going across its jaw.
I want to like this. I'm trying desperately too because I could be stuck with them. But I can't. The shortened body, the huge head, the thick lines, and tentacles turned into pigtails are driving me bonkers. And I honestly think that there were pets in far greater need of such a drastic revamp. Like the nimmo, tuskaninny, flotsam, chia. Gah.

The problem I'm having with the new Acara is the head. It just looks wrong and out of proportion in comparision to the body. 
I like the Darigan Acara, but I think it looks more like a mutant.

I came across this while looking around for some information on the Happy Meal promotion in July (it's from a seller on eBay).... it gives you a preview of the species that will be featured (Bruce, Kiko, Flotsom, Kacheek, Poogle, Kougra, Gelert, Mynci, Kyrii, Meerca, Grarrl and Pteri)

I like the new Acara (except for the weird red lines on the yellow one).
It is a great improvement, but not anything too drastic. I don't see why everyone hates it so much. It's way less drastic than the Kougra or even the Lupe.
And that Bruce: Woah! Totally awesome. Bruces could use a makeover, too.
