I like the idea for the Faerie Hissi, but it looks like its halfway through digesting a mouse or something I like the wings, they're cool, and, eventually, I might get one, its just not quite right though.

Yeah, I agree with you guys about the mixture of programs. I think a lot of their thicker lineart works are with Flash and some of the really detailed stuff (like wallpapers, etc) with multiple shading layers done with Adobe Illustrator. I do know they use those two cause I read it somewhere on Neopets once (what programs they used - not sure if they ONLY use those anymore)

And yeah, the best of both worlds is always good - photoshop has some neater effects like lens flare and stuff

On the topic of hissie colours, I'd love to see them try and do a chinese-dragon style faerie hissie. Something like this?

That'd almost fit my Serepity. If they can make them like that or like that other picture, than I may consider saving up for a faerie paint brush on that account too.


On the topic about art programs, I somehow guessed they used illustrator as one of their programs. I don't know I guessed that other than the sometimes awkward kinks in the corners that illustrator's pen tool sometimes leaves.

As for flash I haven't used it enough. I used it in a computer class, but I don't own a copy of the program so my experiance in it is limited. I just know if you draw a shape on top of another it fuses that way which makes editing sometimes annoying.

Photoshop- I suspect the battledome challengers were done in photoshop. I zoomed in on the Pirate avenger and saw some semi transparent pixel blending between colors.

I love your drawing! It's so cool, unfortunatley the actual faerie looks kind of fat because of the feathers. I would have loved that if they used your drawing.Mabey they could use that for a royal? Or mabey TNT will come here and see yours and scrap the faerie one and base it off yours like they did with the baby nimmo. hey a person can dream right. Or mabey base it for the christmas pb (who knows the two times are sort of close to eachother), or royal (i hope royal becaue that would look cool mabey make some armour on the wings or something and make that circle be gems), or mabey they should make a new pb like hmm ninja mabey. Hey dragons is very sacred in martial arts. dreaminng again.

After I look at it I notice TNT didn't finish it's right wing. The feathers near the upper part of the wing lack shading and an outline.

Am I the only one here who despises the revamped baby nimmo?! I hate it, I hate it, I hate It, I HATE IT!!! I loved the old one much better. I hate how they made it so young its ugly. before, it was adorable, now, it's just another ugly baby pet alongside the baby pteri, draik, jetsam, and kyrii. I was really hoping they would release the old version for nimmo day, I had saved up for quite some time to save up for a paintbrush for my nimmo so I could paint it baby. now they made it look stupid and horrible.

I can see where they are coming from but I really really dislike when they make the baby pets so immuture that they are ugly. like these two for example:



they are almost TOO baby like. Like I said, I can see where they are coming from, but I think that the other would be fine. I don't see why they have to be so...politically correct. a small little baby bird would have been fine; but NOOO, they HAVE to make it an egg. the old version was fine the way it was; there was nothing at all wrong with it. I would have prefered an overly cute normal nimmo then an ugly nimmo head with a dumb little tail coming out of it. I don't understand why they must destroy and disfigure all the good nimmo colors. first they ruined the halloween one, NOW they ruined the baby one.

That Faerie Hiss is AWESOME! New battle pet coming up I thought of Quetzalcoatl as well when I saw him...or one of those prehistoric flightless birds.
