New Marketplace Map =)

I haven't visited that page in years, so I really don't care about it much. I can see why those who make a living from newbies would get upset, though.

Actually many marketplace buyers are not newbies. I have a marketplace shop (one of the smaller ones). And most of my buyers are not all that new. What I do find is that most of them are not what I call players out to maximize their profits at the game. They aren't motivated by the economics. They like to go into large shops and browse around. They know about the shop wizard. They just aren't motivated to find the lowest price. They are having fun and don't care if they pay a little more in order to be able to browse around and find a good selections of items. I also get traffic from quest buyers who can't use the shop wizard and don't want to take time to go ask for lower priced shops. They find a marketplace quest shop and buy. In fact, I often do that myself when on a quest. I go to one of the other shops in the mall I'm in and buy even though I know I am paying over low shop wiz. I just am not usually interested to take the time to post and get low shop prices.

Edit: The news is out now and they actually have changed the marketplace to fix most of the problems with the map. Not perfect, but a huge improvement.
