THat sidebar thing's really neat, but if TNT ever finds out...ice'd?

Hm, I was going to post this on the old V-day thread, but...you know...

Anyway, whoever had a card could've just sent it to one person, and they'd sent it to another, and it would keep going until everyone had the sidebar, then we could sell it and share the profit. ^^; Next year...

Nope, it couldn't be sent on down the line. The card poofed after it was sent and receipients got a neomail from TNT, not the the card in their inventory.

As I explained in the other thread, this is a user-side change. You are merely telling the browser to donwload the images of the sidebar as normal and then place the images of the Valentines sidebar over them.

Oooh... pretty please with sugar on top? :-)

I've figured out how to replace the banner images themselves, but I still have the yellow banner section between m5.gif and 1.gif (behind the clock and the search -- and would be behind the sidebar add if I didn't have it user-defined-CSS-ed away) and I can't figure out how to make it go away. It makes a bright section of orange in my pretty blue sidebar...

This is VERY cool, though.

It also seems like it has interesting applications for people who hated a particular pet revamp. Don't like the new Mutant Lupe? You can make it go *poof* -- at least on your own browser.

how do you do it? with proximotion?

You could also use the program to change your pet without the expense of paint brushes, morphing potions, lab maps, etc.

I want to learn how to use that program, though it probably won't support my computer.

Yep, with proxomitron. Very cute. I don't know if you'd want to use it instead of painting your pet necessarily -- for one thing, no one can could see it the new color except you on your home browser -- but it could be used to make your pet a "custom" color, make your lab pet look like it's "supposed" to if you're labbing for stats, or to "try out" a paint job you're considering to see if you like it. All assuming you don't mind changing the way all pets of that color/species show up for you on the site, of course.

Wish I'd known about this during the 6 months my Eyrie was stuck as a Nimmo while I was labbing her HP up.

I worked out how to get rid of that last orange bit, too. I'll play with changing the color of the clock this evening...

Does the Proxomitron have viruses in it?
