Well, I did make Medli and Zero think it said W00T! But that was a mistake on my part. I didn't have my glasses on and read it like that. But it was really funny getting Medlis hopes up that she'd have the perfect avatar for her....

Meh. I have lots of Neocola - Diet, Apple, plain, and a few others besides - but no Achyfi. ... Think they'll buy Neocola thinking its Achyfi? No? Oh. Okay.

you know what sucks, about a week ago i heard a rumer that the achyfi was going to be made in to a avatar and we should stock up but i thougt it was flase and didnt do anything

But you never know....TNT just might make it "type achyfi in the sidebar" or something more typical (and annoying) like "look up raspberry achyfi and refresh at the search results page 5 billion times and if you are extremely lucky you might get the avatar as a random event sometime this year."

Now that would kill a lot of bandwidth. And get a lot of people iced.

I heard the story of a guy who got iced because he killed $1000 worth of Neopets bandwidth. He left a roll of quarters on his f5 all night to get REs. After he was frozen, he wrote in and asked what he'd done wrong. True story, too. So if it was just refreshing-based, they wouldn't do it. But I think you ment just a normal RE.

LOL, a roll of quarters? That's a good one.

Truth is, anyone can download a refresher program like yrefresher for free and let their PC do the work, no quarters needed. (But doing that is using a program and will get you in trouble, so I strongly reccommend using the old method of a bruised F5 finger and patience like I sit around and do (and is why I don't have a lot of the BD challengers yet). But one person eating 1 THOUSAND dollars of bandwidth? Sounds impossible to me, and sort of seems like this story would land in urban myth category.

Either way, we already have a ton of "you must refresh forever to get the thing done" parts of the site as it is. Examples:

1. Refreshing your inventory page for ages to get the blue fuzzle "boo" avatar"

2. Refreshing inventory AGAIN for ages to get a drackonack to eat cheese for another avatar.

3. Refreshing inventory yet again to get a petpetpet to attach. -_-

4. Refreshing forever at the advent calander to get the snow beast as a challenger for the battledome. (which I still don't have, after a year if trying).

5. Refreshing at the space station forever to get Garoo at the battledome.

6. Refreshing at the cave paintings page to get the cave chia as a battledome challenger.

7. Refreshing at the ruins of Maraqua to get Chiazilla as a challenger.

8. Refreshing at the omelette to get the Giant Mal. Chomby as a challenger.

9. Refresh at the lab ray to get the scientist as a challenger.

10. Refreshing at kastraliss' look up after using the search bar to get kastraliss as a challenger.

11. Refreshing after beating the inflateable balthazar for the battle faerie avatar.

12. Refresh at Art Center to get the zafara rouge BD challenger.



...and these are just a few I could come up with off the top of my head. I'm sure I missed plenty, so this is just a sample of the things on the site you have to sit there refreshing for eons to obtain, which is the way TNT programmed it. So I don't think the bandwidth issue is really an issue in my opinion anyway.

I don't think they have a problem with normal manual refreshing (hey, that's what RSing is all about!), but if you kill $1000 your account is probably not going to last long. The person I heard this from was a staff member, so I'm pretty sure it's true (though the number may have been exaggerated).l
