Up against the Faerie Thief for the second time shortly, just gotta get through the basment first. I'm at level 55, reckon I'll be high enough by the time I get to Terask even if I don't use hunting mode much right now.

Can't. Wait. To. Start. Evil. :D

I ve done NQ2 10 times and never hunt in Faerieland. It just isn't necessary. At level 55 I could beat Terask I on normal so you are doing fine and don't need to hunt. You will easily do fine.

mwee. I'm on my way to the first Faerie Thief.

*muses* well, I'm going to be starting it on Evil soon. Have any of you guys finished it and then immediately started the next level? I'm considering it but I also don't want to get burned out on it.

Haven't been in hunting mode since I enetered Faerieland and I'm at level 59 now, on my way up the tower to King Terask the first time. Enemies attack more frequently now, even if I'm not hunting.

I'm starting to realise some small errors I did early on with training. When I start over on Evil I will be more careful with placing skills.

Edit: Beat him once... [rather easy, just tedious]

My thoughts exactly XD I started it before I began reading guides and such, so I have skills that I'm currently thinking about going 'noooo, what if I could put them in THIS category, it would be so much BETTER...'

EDIT: has anyone ever noticed the description in the Cirrus petpet?

"Its older brothers Cumulo and Nimbus abandoned it as a child, so now its up to your Neopet to look after it!"

Cumulo and Nimbus? XD Cumulonimbus!

Ok here's what you do with skillz. This is the way to beat the game easily and quickly:

Rohane:

3 Melee Haste
15 Damage Increase
15 Melee Haste
15 Critical Attacks
15 Magic Resistance

-no stunning it doesn't work on fairy's/TK2 and doesn't speed up your fights
-no taunt / focus its useless

Mipsy:

(altrenate DD and melee defence until DD is maxed and melee defence is 10)

15 DD
10 Defence
5 Casting Speed
15 Group Speed
15 Casting Speed
15 Defence

-no slowing you have potions for that
-no group damage it is slower and you take more hits from the monsters before you die

Talinia:

15 Damage Increase
10 Attack Speed
15 Multishot
15 Speed
15 Magic Resist

-no stunning it doesn't work on fairy's/TK2 and doesn't speed up your fights
-no slowing its useless

Velm:

15 Group Heal
10 Speed
5 Defence
15 Group Barrier
15 Defence
15 Speed

-no hammer its too weak + you won't ever use it against Tk2/Fairys
-no mesmerize it barely works against TK2/Fairys

these skill builds = easy TK2 and Fairy's and fast game.

before you get velm overtrain because you wont have to go to town as much for pots

after velm undertrain for more exp (always go in normal mode).

YAHOO! Now, onto Insane!

Mon Jan 03, 2005 3:03 am

I usually start a game right after finishing the last one. I usually take 2 weeks to complete a game. My first 3 games (normal, evil, insane) took a week each. I've taken as long as a month to finish a game.

To keep from getting bored, I've tried all kinds of different way to distribute skills.

edit: Terask II is dead! http://www.zippyimages.com/files/5684/terask2.jpg

yaaaaaay. wow. it was easy up until the point velm died.. XD but he only had 400ish HP so I decided to continue. let me tell you, I attacked away those last 200 points many times over. stupid Renew.

but I did it! now on to Evil...

I want to try to get playing Neoquest II again but it's boring and I can't stand it. I want to start playing again, but I just can't. I just got Talinia and I'm training for Kolvars.

Sun Jan 09, 2005 3:02 am

I have a question for neoquest I and II addicts. Which one takes the most time to beat, without doing a speed run or overtraining 5 levels over the enemies levels every then? I still have about a week left of christmas break(lucky me) and I just reobtained interest for either game. However, it clearly wouldn't be possible to finish both.

For each game, I have already beaten the first dungeon, both on evil difficulty.

There's two way to go. Neoquest I is for trophy, Neoquest II is for battle item. Will you help me choose?

Sun Jan 09, 2005 3:54 am

Neoquest I is a lot faster to beat. The NQII prize on normal isn't all that impressive.

Sun Jan 09, 2005 4:18 am

But the prizes for evil difficulty ARE good. I already got a 10 icons tome when I beaten it before. Now, I want to get another good item, without risking to lose everything by playing insane.

Still, I will trust your words and go for neoquest I, thanks. :)
