What I don't get is why they changed the designs of the characters. Here's an example:

It's strange that they'd add pink hair and change the colors and everything...I hope it's just temporary for the animation, as I liked the old look better.
I think is Neopets playing a bit of fun on us. 3 days later, the band is still playing and playing and playing and playing. Like it hasn't stopped since we first saw it on December 27th. The only improvement I could have seen would be for them to have tied the gifts more closely to the animation--like instead of a peach, another Rebuild Maraqua poster with the words "Enough already" splattered across it.

Darn, you guys beat me too it. I'm kinda disappointed in the prizes this year. Because in previous years, wasn't one of the prizes a paint brush ( regular or petpet)? And another prize a petpet? I know we got a snow kookith this year, but before, wasn't it a new petpet they gave out? Last year, it was the feepit, and those were on the AC like 2 days after they came out. The prizes just really didn't seem that great this year...

Well, you have to keep in mind- if they were to release a paint brush now, it would probably be either jelly or ice, and that would make the people who own ice bori/bruce or jelly pets feel Unspecial XP
Of course, I wouldn't mind being able to paint my shoyru jelly, but...

And this year it was the snicklebeast. Same as last year, we got one new color of an existing petpet (white ona/snow kookith) and one brand new petpet (feepit/snicklebeast).
This year we also got a purple sticky hand, which turned out to be a very good weapon, and three or four different books, which are good prizes. And a lot of the items were cute (I love the kass items, the sloth pinata, and the cranberry items most). I'm disappointed we didn't get a paintbrush of some kind, but I think the calendar's still been good.

I really enjoyed the advent calender this year, I think it was the animations that did it for me and how most of the prizes were tied in with the animation too. Im impressed with the np today too!
