Can't you guys stick it on the bottom of every page instead of it being on the top, or are your sponsors forcing that on you, too?

They usually have to be at the top, or near the top of the page. We designed it so that if it was blocked the neopets site would move up to be flush with the top of the screen

I used this extension:

Now go to Neopets and see where it says "Ad Block"? Click that, and when the URL pops up, go to the end of it and where it says "ads/name_of_ad.swf", change "name_of_ad" to a *. That will block all top ads. Do the same for the sidebar ad.

Is there still a real need for the button flash on the sidebar? Cos that's three flash files open at once when playing a game, and my PC doesnt like it

XD I just meant that if you can't adjust to a website change, you can't adjust to anything.

Adam, is the new layout just a mock-up? It doesn't look that nice.
Also, do you think that, if you decide to remove the button, you could make it an option to have the user info at the top or where the button was?

What I don't get is why we need a banner in the first place. I know that advertising is a huge part so we can enjoy the site for free, but we have the shop of offers. Couldn't you add a couple more advertising pages? I'd porobably visit them as a daily and click the links. That would get you funding, right?

You can charge way more for a banner ad that people have to see rather than a seperate page that people have to go and see, and while you may go see the page many many won't.
I'm really not bothered by these ads anymore... after awhile they just blend in (and truthfully I block most of them anyways). Just roll with it guys... it's not a huge deal. What I do appreciate is their honesty about this all (and I'd also appreciate someone there coding me a new lookup, because I spent forever on my old one.

Ahhhh it's no use. Oh well. It ain't like I'm gonna quit Neo 'cuz of the banner. And that PPT only av sure sounds ni-*gets ran over by the neopets team* Owwie. x_x
