I can understand Hidden Junkyard and it's iffy with the Hidden Staircase, but Hidden Shower is just WAY too far. And what's sad, is people actually fall for it :'(dog wrote:Hidden junkyard? I think the reason so many people are being sucked in is because for the last few week people have been posting (in the HC anyway) about a place where random events are more common than anywhere else. Thewere boasting about this pace and refusing to let on the address. Anyone with half a brain cell saw it for the ruse it was, but poor neewbies were asking all over the boards about the 'secret random event place'.
Seeing this junkyard scam going on now makes me wonder if the postings about 'secret random event place' were priming people for the junkyard scam. The newbies were hanging out for an address, and suddenly, *wham* one appeared, so they fell for it...
It all started with people realizing going somewhere like the advent calendar and refreshing continously would give you a "Winter Random Event". I went to Happy Valley and tried it, and it does work.
I got a thing about some kind of chill, and once I got some kind of snowball.
It's not really worth your time, but it does work.

Ah, a newbie account with pets who are only 3 hours old as of this posting. I'm *sure* it's real.
Well, it was good for a laugh. I rather enjoyed how they coded the petpage to say I had 10k np on hand. I just sat there and basked in that for a couple minutes before I closed out.

I quite agree, it's SO annoying when people go around making up all this fake trash about neopets and stuff. Still, I pity them for feeling they must do these things. It's sad.
