I went pass NEO hq earlier and there was no one there. i live in LA.

Any explanations?

*yawn* Well, I went and had a nap, came back, and everything's still down. Poo.

I have to say, I agree with Morningstar. Everyone should just calm down and find something else to do. All this talk about calling TNT headquarters and this being the end of Neopets is just silly. They'll get it fixed eventually, and everything will be fine.

And no, it's definitely not part of the plot. It's just server downtime. It's really nothing out of the ordinary.

I think I'll go read a book or something. ^^

Maybe TNT is taking some time off after some hardcore partying after Neopets B-day yesterday? Or maybe they experienced a power outage that they haven't been able to fix? :P Or not...

Or it could be that it's now 6:30 NST and their offices are closed...?

I dont think so, it wasnt too long ago, i got back to my house at 5:30, before i found out neopets was down.

That doesn't mean they don't close at 5:00. I'm pretty sure open hours for most businesses are 9-5 or so...

Anyway, just a thought... *shrug*

Yes, didn't they outsource their computer system to a non-Neopets company a few months ago? Back when all of the shop databases were moved. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the company.

So, if the system was down, the computer techs would be working on it where this company is situated--not in the Neopets headquarters.

So does this mean that since the cool stuff happening during only this week 'cause of Neopets' birthday, this day will still be counted and there's only three more days to enjoy? Or will today not count since most of today Neopets was down?

Then...why would the old building still have computer's in it?

I remember that! Although I have no idea what the name of the company is anymore though. So then the TNT could just be waiting for the techs to fix the problem... hmm...

*goes off to read a book*

Well, I assume the artists would still work at Neo HQ... and administration/support as well...

Neo has bad luck on its birthdays, maybe they should stop celebrating it

The difference is those are all businesses with regular customer traffic (with possibly the exception of Synopsys and Cisco, neither of which I am familiar with). People are constantly coming in and purchasing things, which is why they stay open later. In an office building (like TNT HQ) where there isn't constant customer influx, the hours are quite a bit shorter. "CASE CLOSED"

Neopets just doesnt want to give us all the benefits that it promised... its against their moral code to be nice for a change :(
