I've been getting RE's like an out of control wildfire since I started doing Kitchen Quests after a long hiatus:

4 Faerie Quests (Water, Air, Fire & Dark)
3 Ghosts
2 Codestones (Tai-Kai & Lu)
Sausage Jacket Potato on the floor
Seafood Twist on the floor x 2 (yesterday evening and this morning)
White Chocolate Jetsam on the floor
& a Gwernial on the floor

...is the KQ Chef trying to tell me something? XD

I have had an increase overall, but more good ones. I keep telling myself not to post about it because hey, random is random. But TNT could have increased the frequency of them:

Just yesterday: (yes all in one day)
1. Water Faerie quest while messing with my neohome
2. Sloth hands me a morphing potion while playing pyramids (never got one of these before)
3. Codestone, also while playing pyramids
?? a few other minor ones like my active pet says something...

Also just a couple weeks ago I got a Petpet Paint Brush while fighting in the BD.

I hope this trend keeps up!

One thing in common, We are all in Australia.....

I wonder if this has anything to do with our luck and chance games coming back a couple of days ago, as it would seem that the increase of REs does coincide timewise...

EDIT: I just logged on, and got this while using the shop wizard, never before yesterday have I ever had REs while using the wiz, as I mentioned earlier, and now this is twice.

Within 10 second of each other, I got two RE's. First one put a trading card worth 2000 nps in my deck. The second was was King Skarrl, who took 5 percent of the nps I had out for his marrow tax--so, I lost about 10,000 to that (because I had just emptied my till, I had about 200K on hand).

I have never gotten two RE's back to back before.

But, all in all, I still made out OK. Shortly after that, I got 2000 from the WOE and the esphogar gave me an item worth 8000 in return for an item I paid 25 nps for.

I got two random events yesterday evening and I usually never get any. They were useless re's though. One was the neobadge event and the other was a green scorchio, can't remember what it said though.

That's probably because you got Jacko, Stampsyne! I got money stolen by a ghost just this morning. Naughty Ghosts! Wish I could BD them.

I haven't seen an increase. I usually get a lot, but there are also dry spells. It's probably all just luck and people moving around more on Neopets. If you suddenly start trying for the dice a roo av or playing neoquest, you're going to get a lot more randoms. If you start playing flash games and stay off the neoboards, you'll see a dramatic decrease. I think a lot of people don't realize how many or how few pages they are actually visiting when they think they've been on Neopets a lot in one day. More page views = greater chance of randoms.

I haven't had a random event in God knows how long... I've never had many random events, but when everyone else is getting loads I start to feel a bit left out

actually funny thing is, i haven't gotten around to changing status back, so when i got all those, i actually was still "living" in antartica

today i found 100 nps, and my pet told me she wants to be the richest in neopia.. i didn't waste any time telling her thats a silly dream *kicks dialup*

oh yeah, and a secret lab map piece after i've bought my 3rd set before all these re increases! prices will probably drop now

and i'm very happy, used to be i'ld never get anything, ever, now i'm very lucky good things too, since i'm going overseas very soon and no internet access..

I have gotten tons of them in the past few days. I mean that I am literally tripping over them. Mostly the ones that are harmless like a blue bruce passing by, but I have also gotten King Skarl's marrow tax, two cards put into my Neodeck, several battledome challengers, and a few instances of nps on the floor. And just now, I got a secret lab map piece and the red pteri as a battledome challenger within seconds of each other.

Supposedly the more pages that load, the more RE's you get. So, I have to wonder if Neo has refigured something to take shop wiz refreshes into account. My reasoning: 1. I am getting most of these RE's while I am on the shop wiz. 2. For the past few days, I basically have been doing nothing but shop wiz refreshing for ETS items (it's how I make my nps). 3. I have been getting a lot of RE's on my secondary account, which normally use as a gallery, but am currently using as a shop. And never got RE's on that secondary account before now.
