I am getting an extremely weird problem. When I visit any page on Neo, it's like the sidebar keeps loading over and over, in the blink of an eye, even after the page has fully loaded. That's the best way to explain it, really; it's blinking. The "sign up" flash animation on the index page is playing, but it looks really weird; it's also blinking and the letters have bits of white in them (like when you try to sharpen an image too much in PSP or Photoshop and it looks messy). Maybe it's a problem with my flash, but flash and neopets worked fine this morning, and neopets seems to be the only site where I have this issue.

Just to let everyone know, since my other topic was locked (the one re Neo being down), when I first experienced the lost item glitch a few hours ago, I was on Neo for a few seconds, then got the page cannot be displayed message. I cleared files and cookies and even restarted my computer and every time I tried to go to Neo, I got the page cannot be displayed message. I couldn't even get on via Netscape. Yet, my daughter was able to get on Neo from a different computer (same IP address).
So, I then opened a new MSN window and all of a sudden, hundreds of MSN windows started appearing. But all of them had
http://www.neopets.com mixed in the msn address. So, I shut down the computer and ran every scan imaginable. I have no viruses, according to PestPatrol, McAfee, and AVG.
I can now access Neo just fine--but I still think that something went screwy a few hours back. And, it had to be with Neo--because I was able to access other sites just fine. And, I really don't think I picked up anything weird from another site because PPT and Neo were the only sites I had been on today and I run a virus/spyware scan every night after I exit Neo and PPT.
Weird, huh?

Things seem to have gone back to normal for me. A few hours ago, my inventory and the shops were screwing up. They weren't loading right, but the shops would take my money or the item I moved (or given to me) would not be there.

Morningstar - I am having some sort of problem with my computer, I just had it reformatted (unfortunately) and suddenly it's shutting itself down and restarting - got a "system has recovered from a serious error" report, checked it out - apparently a driver somewhere, but don't know what. But, that just started about an hour ago.
I was on the site yesterday and earlier today. About every 20 minutes or so, I'd lose my internet connection while trying to play games. Only on Neopets, though, nowhere else. Games were loading very very slow earlier today too, along with pages loading weird - bits and pieces at a time. I don't know if that's still a problem, been too busy trying to figure out what's going on now with the whole system. Time to call the tech!
But I do note that I went shopping for omelettes this morning and half the shops, with the new top of the list thing? Some of the items were way up high on the page, unclickable, and the rest of the shop was also really high up. I don't know if that's been fixed or not. Hope so, or alot of people will be losing np not being able to sell things.

Mine does that occasionally. I've given up on it.

Spira, I think? it's either my scanner (just d/l and installed a driver update from the scanner site over the old one - I couldn't uninstall the old driver) or my cruddy printer - though the printer is XP compliant. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was just the scanner driver that needed fixing. I sure can't afford a new scanner right now! I'm being persistent ... I may be computer techie challenged, but I'm willing to try just about anything once. That's what system restore's for - if I mess up!
It makes it a little more difficult to try to let Borovan know what's up - problems with the site. There are some, like the shop items via the wiz search and the occasional tribalfusion adware that appear to be definite site problems, along with things like the item name/price HTML code not working anymore, and I think? some of the really slowly, oddly loading pages. But in all fairness, right now until I get the computer completely straightened out (even if it means uninstalling everything with the scanner and printer to see if that is the problem), I can't be 100% sure of some of the site-specific problems I've been having.

Sighs..... I guess it's probably for the better since there are quite a few gitches going on. Hope they'll be able to fix it soon.

no, no items restock during downtime

Even if it did (I don't know how it'd do that), no one can get to the items any way.

It's up and working again..
