1) That when speaking to someone, it is easy to accidentally call a poodle a poogle.

2) That neopets is a deep, dark secret which you tell nobody that you play.

3) That 'famous' people prefer posting on fan sites rather than on the Neoboards *cough* Borovan *cough* :D (but heck, I'm not surprised)

I think you meant "posting". ;) Actually I think Adam is afraid that he may get frozen if he posts there.

In 54 months of playing neopets when I really should be working I've learned::

    1) Not to go on the neoboards. However amusing and fun it may be to intelegently debate with an idiot. It will still get you frozen, or warned. No matter what you say...
    2) I'd probably have been better off talking to people on neopets than sticking a DVD of black books on in my office and roaring with laughter at it, although good. Since it would be less obvious I wasn't working. Ergo, the typing sounds :)
    3) Krawks and Draiks are special. Even though I don't know why yet.
    4) The beauty contest is a lot of hard work. After you've drawn the pic.
    5) BUZZ are the best neopets ever.
    6) Not many people know what a "prat" or an "eejit" is...
    7) Everyone on neopets is irish. So they say. Yet they still have no clue where Limerick is... O_o
    8) Most people who join guilds are freeloaders.
    9) People have virtual lives and relationships on the neoboards. Yet have never ever met one another...
    10) I need a drink...

I learned:

I really should be doing something else, but can't because it's addictive.

That neopets is a deep, dark secret which you tell nobody that you play.

Yesh. 8) Remember, if you do, your life is over... But in that case, I don't really have much to worry about.

i've learned that i've fallen for neopets hook, line, and sinker. hopelessly addicted :P

Hehe, that would be so funny were it not true.

1: Nice guys DO finish first, join a very large organization, be a nice guy, and you'll soon have more fame than you know what to do with (anyone here know me from PointZero?)
2: Never let your relatives catch you blabbing about the amount of NP you have. They'll think you're trying to lie to get chicks.
3: When you play games for a living, earning 20,000 in a day is not hard at all.
4: More speed is the answer to everything, except Meerca Chase
5: Why even bother buying food, you can find enough in huge heaps on the floor.
6: Gambling actually can earn you money.
7: Being cold will make you lucky.
8: Theft is an option, unless it's from other people.
9: Getting on the wrong side of the law is way too easy.
10: Big corporations won't listen to you no matter how hard you try.
11: The free site is more fun than most of the merchandise. Which reminds me, I need to find a starter deck...
12: Carnival games are rigged.
14: Beauty contests are unfair.
15: Funny stuff are often hidden in ugly packages.
16: The most popular game in the world is a variation of Snake.
17: People who try to rip you off are always complete morons.
18: It's fun to make said morons walk into a trap.
19: Life isn't fair, and neither is anything else
20: You can get through 20 questions and nobody will notice you missed unlucky number 13.

Let me expand on that - When you play games for a living, earning 20,000 in a day is not hard at all. But then you will look at the person who restocks for a living, and earns 100k in a day without much effort at all, and you'll get upset and discontented and grumble about your stupid 56ker which doesn't let you restock.

I only earned 90k yesterday ONLY from book sales. Other times I make 5-15k. *Loves people who purchase for packrat and Book awards*

Some more things I've learned whilst on Neo:

*Nothing is as good as it first seems.

*There's always a catch

*Never show off your wealth

*Be wary of random neofriend requests

*It is possible to spend five or six hours straight on Neo without even noticing

*The Neoboard monitors are idiots

*When Neo doesn't listen, threatening them by complaining to their sponsors always seems to work. Well almost always....

*The US Navy now seems to be recruiting young children o_O

*A famous person getting frozen is now a regular occurence

*It is a lot easier to spend than it is to earn
