About Akito -- Major Spoilers
There are a lot of Sohmas, like a normal family, only, few of them have the animal. Akito does not, but instead he the family leader, and took on like a curse or somethign thta escapes memory... But anyways, I know he will die early.

Sasha! I was trying to avoid bringing up that particular spoiler. It threw me for a loop and made rewatching the anime a bit confusing. I kept looking for "signs", although, I don't know if Natsuki Takaya had planned for that to happen or if it just happened on a whim.

And here I was thinking that Shigure liked guys, based on the third volume. Dx
Now that I've read the 4th volume, all I can say is that I really, really, really do not like Akito.
Edit: And I just remembered the incident with Haru and the class president guy. That was hilarious!

I like fruits alright...it was like the first non-adult swim anime i ever saw. im not a fan of manga's tho, so i haven't read it
although it's licensed, i did find a torrent download to it on a site while just browsing around. idk if any of you are interested, but im not going to post the link in case i get in trouble
if you are POSITIVE that it's ok for me to post the link, let me know and i will. i haven't dl'd yet myself, so i can't make any claims to the quality, but i did find both subbed and dubbed versions.
my favorite character was the dog...im not good at remembering japanese names lol

I think that it really depends on the company {referring to the licensing comment}. Some companies produce really amazing dubs and also release the entire series in it's original Japanese form. Other companies butcher shows with their cheesy dubs and edited Japanese versions.

Yeah, he's pretty cool. We're almost done with the anime, then I'm going to start reading the manga (as soon as I finish Alice 19th

The first five-six books of the manga will be what the anime is based on, but after that it goes further into the story. There are some major differences in certain areas, though. As well as a few things that weren't even mentioned in the anime. {I'm sure this is because it doesn't continue on like the manga and would be a bit pointless to include.} It's a great read, though. ;D

i like the strange friend torhu(sp? i've seen it several different ways*) has the one who zaps people, some reason, shes my favorite character. and appart from that i guess i do like shigure, because hes so crazy and wacky, and i love the way he is so cruel to his producer *sadistic yes i know but funny!*
i'm lucky to have freinds who are majorly obssessed with manga *i'm just interested in alot of things, and not a huge huge fan* and who encourage and lend me all the books because i'm so bad about picking up new copies and all.

Hanajima is a great character. Tohru has an interesting relationship with her. It's almost as if she took over the role of the parent when Tohru's mother died.
I always feel bad for Shigure's editor. He plays such mean little tricks on her, but at the same time, it's absolutely hilarious. ;P
